Please get it together Bonchon Smyrna. I so wanted to love this place, but I am beyond disappointed. Ordered the Spicy Chicken Fried Rice today and it was an epic fell. Placed a togo order in store, the staff was friendly and the store was very clean. I should have tried the Korean fried chicken + fries because it looked so good. Instead I opted for the Spicy Chicken fried Rice which was extremely dry, I didn’t know jasmine rice could be that dry. It’s a shame that I had to throw my food in the trash after two bites, especially when it cost $13.12 for the small portion that they gave. The rice tasted like it had been sitting for 6 days, it was bad, I still have a sour aftertaste in my mouth. I do not recommend tying the fried rice.

I ordered the drumsticks and some dumplings the other day. They were both good and properly prepared. The only bummer was that my wife is a vegetarian and there wasn’t any entrees that is for vegetarian so she only got some veggie dumplings. Other than that I have enjoyed the food, place is clean and the people were nice!

Wasn’t sure what I was coming into when stopping by. I saw Korean chicken on the sign so wanted to give it a shot. Girl at the front taking orders very helpful giving suggestions. I felt bad asking a ton of questions but she was so happy to share info about items on the menu and explain the food items.

I am not a wing person for the simple fact that all wings are insanely expensive in my opinion. We ordered 20 traditional wings, half/half, with a complimentary side of pickled radish and an order of kimchi. I also ordered Japchae. The wings were very delicious, both the regular and the spicy. The spicy wings tasted of gochujang, which I love. The pickled radish was somewhat sweet, which I am not very fond of. The kimchi was also, in my opinion, sweet. Not like my mom used to make, so I was not crazy about that either. The Japchae was delicious. It is kust like my mom’s, and also the same flavor as when I make it. I feel for the portion size, it was overpriced. In the future, I will just make that at home. As for the wings, though incredibly delicious, I can’t get over the price point.

Pretty disappointing. I love Korean fried chicken and I had been waiting for bon Chon to open for a long time. We even drove way out of our to try this place out but we were disappointed. The famous crunch of the double fry was more soggy then chrisp and the sauces were only ok. All in all I can make it much better at home.

Friend suggested this place for us and to eat dinner. The food was great. Menu doesn’t have a ton of options but I’d prefer that over the food not being as good. I’d come back to try other stuff.

Made our way from Nashville to try Bonchon! I had the boneless wing combo with street corn. I wish I had got the bone-in wings. Pictured are the chicken tacos and fries. My expectations were high – maybe too high. It was good but probably wouldn’t go out of way again. Would love one closer to Nashville to try again!

Beyond disappointed. It’s a new place, so of course it was slammed, and that means a longer wait time. That’s fine, totally fair. We waited an hour for our food and it was a mess. Not only was it not double breaded, my strips were missing the majority of the breading. The few spots of breading weren’t crunchy because it was cold. I would have sent it back if I wasn’t so hungry. The taste was fine, I’m sure it would have been amazing if it were hot and breaded like it should have been. We won’t be going back, sadly.

I’m super excited to have Bonchon in Tennessee! Went to the Smyrna location on their first day of opening and man was it busy! The staff were super friendly and did their best given how many customers were there at the time. We came during the lunch rush and had to wait ~30 minutes to get our food. Since it was pretty busy it was hard to hear them call out my name for my order.
