This place is fabulous! True it is not on your regular route of Mexican places to find. I encourage you to go outside of the norm, go for a drive in the country and find your way to Plato Feliz, Livingston, Madison, Mississippi. Spectacular salsa that you get with a free chips — amazing. I will say that the cheese dip is a little runny but the Mexican guacamole more than makes up for it. I had the enchiladas Suizas. So good. Hobby had the burrito Feliz — you won’t regret that choice. We followed it up with sopapillas — always a safe choice and delicious with the ice cream. Lots of strawberry margaritas yes yes yes. Suffice it to say that Plato -Feliz is the next hot Mexican restaurant in Madison Mississippi. You heard it here first, run don’t walk. Great place for occasions. Awesome patio.

Paid twice for a meal and manager/owner would not refund the erroneous charge. After handing our server my card to pay for a $50 lunch, he informed me that there was an issue with their card reader and that I would have to wait to see if it worked at some point or pay cash. So, we paid the bill in cash including a 20% tip, and left the restaurant. A couple of days later I noticed that the $50 charge went through on my card. I went in and spoke to the manager. I showed him my bank statement where the charge went through and he was able to match the amount/date/time on his POS software where it showed the ticket was closed with cash. I even offered to let him give me that amount in a gift card to his restaurant so he didn’t have to give me cash or refund to my card. He was not cooperative and said that if it had charged my card that he would be able to see it as a charge and not cash. In the next breath, he said this same thing happened to another customer and it was a mistake on his vendor’s side. He said before he would return my money he needed to double check with the vendor. So, I left him with my email address, name, phone number, and the last digits of my card. He did not make any attempts to contact me or refund my money. If I were a manager and a patron was showing me a bank statement proving I had charged them twice I think I would’ve refunded the charge (or given me a gift card for that amount!) and sorted the rest out with the vendor later. He could see that I had paid cash for my meal & was charged for it, yet still refused to make it right. It’s a bummer because I did like the food, but won’t be returning.

Hands down the best food and service anywhere. We’ve eaten spanish/mexican cuisine in many places and always wind up comparing it to Plato Feliz … and those other places are “no comparison”. Bar set high! A BIG thank you to the Plato team for all they do!
