Best place to eat at CI !! Islands Café features quality ingredients, a variety of delicious menu items at multiple dining stations and your choice of comfortable seating environments. Spicy tuna rolls, Baja fish tacos, vegetarian options, pizzas and pastas done the way you want, custom sandwiches. Anytime they offer a sandwich or a pizza or anything else featuring prosciutto or Boursin cheese, I’m on it. They even brought back a pizza I requested and named it in my honor to my absolute delight. These are restaurant quality meals. I haven’t seen anything quite like this on any other college campus. The short-order grill is extremely popular with students, where they can order burgers or crispy chicken wraps and the occasional French dip or crabcake po’boys. Crispy bacon and egg on English muffin for breakfast? What more do you want?

as a student at the university without a car, and with a designated meal plan that can only be used here, this place has been relentlessly disappointing. their food is disgusting and has given me food poisoning on multiple occasions. I used to get their burgers until after a certain point they were clearly undercooked and that night I literally saw myself throwing up the pink meat into the toilet. Their serving sizes are practically minuscule, ridiculous considering their demographic is hungry college students. half of the foods they offer are not available, and the pizza place, the only place that serves consistently good food, is terribly unreliable and often closed. The staff are usually rude and curt, excluding one nice woman who works in the evenings and one of the pizza guys. this place sucks.

Went here for the Transfer orientation day few weeks ago. I enjoyed their food style buffet. I ended up getting the red enchiladas with beans and rice. Not too bad. I enjoyed it and might try the pizza next time. Good workers they definitely hustle. I definitely thinking about getting a cafeteria plan this fall.

I graduated from CI a couple years back and I still crave some of the meals I had here. As a student that lived on campus, the buffet style food made sure I didn’t get bored of the food or get stuck eating the same meals constantly.

Good variety of food, the workers here are kind people. I usually like to get white rice and orange chicken. If I am feeling adventurous I can make an order for a custom pizza. They even got horchata if you want to complete the whole multicultural experience. Just wish the outdoor seating was still open.

This was just remodeled right before the 2016 Fall semester started. Twice the size, it’s pretty damn beautiful.

An on campus buffet which features many styles of freshly made entrees for a very reasonable price. Most items can be customized to your liking. Lots of seating for the single eater, or the study group. It’s located in the heart of campus, so there is very limited parking that doesn’t require some kind of permit.

This is an all you can eat school cafeteria. I have been to a few other state universities and this beats them all.
