My husband was very excited to try this place today. He had the beef brisket platter. I had fried wings with macaroni and cheese and green beans sides. The food was great. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The only thing he did feel about the place was the prices being a little high. Could be because there’s not a lot of barbecue places around-That’s understandable. We’ll definitely return.

The food is always fantastic, being well prepared and full of flavor. I was there yesterday for lunch and they did not disappoint. The ribs were “fall off the bone” tender and the mac n cheese was amazing. Make sure to get that cornbread and a slice of sweet potato pie before you leave!

Writing this from Collingswood NJ. We’ve been to Rick’s several times and it has never disappointed! My favorite is their barbecued half chicken — it is the best I’ve ever had in this area, juicy, tender, and just enough smoke, it is delicious.

It’s no hype, the Food is great, the service is great, and it’s make for a great picnic in the woods. I had the collar greens, corn bread, and mac & cheese. All very good, but the star of the show was the Pulled Pork Platter, the pork was wonderful. Wanda the server was so friendly, with a wonderful smile helped steer me to the best deal. And indead the pulled pork is a great food value.

We drove almost an hour to try this outdoor BBQ. Their customer service was great. Fun, family, friendly vibe. However, I was not thrilled about the food. The portions were extremely small for the price. One of our platters literally only had 10 French fries. I read other reviews the complained about the portion sizes. I agree with the other reviews. For the amount of money the platters are the portions are child sized. The food lacked flavor. The BBQ sauce was salty. The pulled pork had more fat than there was meat. Also, the credit card feature on the register was down so we had to drive a few miles to an ATM to get money to pay for our food. We spent almost $100 and weren’t satisfied. The outdoor eating was a fun experience. We did call and tell the owner (Rick) about our disappointment. He was apologetic and listened to our concerns. Rick did say the next time we came back he’d take care of us. Unfortunately, there won’t be a next time b/c the food wasn’t that great for us to make the long drive again.

After years of passing this place I finally saw it on Friday and went on Sunday. Talk about a nice rib dinner for my mother on Mother’s Day. The better half and I stopped by picked up ribs enough for 8 and talk about delicious. We have been looking for a good local (ish) place to get bbq since our last was over 2hours away, and I have to say that I think we found it. Don’t worry. We shall return again and again.
