My second visit to Michigan. In my opinion, it was by far the best bacon cheeseburger and fries I have had in the state and I’ve had a few. Great job!! Great atmosphere, excellent and competent staff plus the kitchen prepped a fantastic meal. Perfect fries and the meat doneness was exactly as ordered. I will add it to future visits!!!!!

Variety of sandwiches, wraps, some pizza, and a few baskets. Never had a bad meal. What makes the place best around is the wait staff. While you may have someone take your order, everyone there will (and does) serve you and your needs. All very friendly, they all keep moving which to me is a sign that they are in it for the best customer experience possible. Lots of choices in Portage or Kalamazoo, but we seem to end up here often!

Food and beer were good. Thought the atmosphere had a hometown feel. The service on the other hand, was sub par. Are server acted like she was unhappy to have to be bothered to work, never saw her smile once and cut us off and walked away when we were asking about the place, it was our first time there. Rude. We have a small business and that is not the way to treat patrons.

Bought a Ruben (was recommended) took one bite and the meat was hard old and in chunks like beef Jerky. Ordered a pizza sent it back …Wrong ingredients). Second pizza was burnt. Fried mushrooms were burnt. Pop and French fries were great. Atmosphere was wonderful. Staff was very friendly. If we go again it will be for cocktails only. 40 bucks down the drain

Use to have a awesome perch basket, this time only got 2 pieces of perch with a 14.00 dinner basket. Last time I was there, I got 3 pieces in a lunch basket for way less money. They are raising there price while giving less food at the same time. Plenty of fries though. Last time I will be back.

I love the Village-Hide -A-way. They have great food & amazing service. My favorite is their Perch Basket, but all their food is amazing as well as their staff. Definitely worth a visit.

We ate at the Hide-a-Away for the first today for lunch, this was our first visit, we had the California Reuben, Hamburger, a Wrap and a Chicken sandwich and the wings as a appetizer and all the food was excellent and the wait staff was super friendly and attentive. We will be going back.
