Been there twice now… once when they opened then tonight which has been few years later…had the burger the 1st time it was awful…had it again tonight and same deal, I thought by now they could figure out how to cook a burger. The place wasnt full at all on a Friday night which is a big red flag. As for the meal the fries were so under cooked they felt like they may have been frozen, just soggy and limp. The “beef” patty wasn’t good at all, asked for it Medium was more rare then I care for. I left 1/2 the meal cause it just didn’t taste right. On a positive note the waitress was nice and the drinks were good, but I won’t be going back.

We had crab cakes that had to much filler. You couldn’t taste the crab. The ricotta dip is a doctored up version if French onion dip. Turkey Tips were dry with too much sage. Cosmo was not good. It tasted sweet. Everything tasted unbalanced. Service was good.

This was awful – I haven’t seen a worse decline in a food place than Central Public House. We ordered from them initially during the pandemic and the food was decent (4/5). Now, they serve food worse quality than The Cheesecake Factory. The burger tasted exactly like a Cheesecake Factory burger (not good) and the french fries had absolutely no seasoning and were soggy. Food was lukewarm at best and colder than room temperature by the time I was halfway done with eating. Every other meal ordered in my order followed the same patern of medicore, cheap quality food. I hope this place gets their act together otherwise I don’t see them being here much longer; some of the worse American food I’ve had in a long time. I mean, come on…how do you mess up a freakin’ burger.

This place opened right before COVID. Good service , nice bar the food was good they made it a point to do something different to each plate to show their signature touch. I got the CPH burger I give it a 8 out of ten. ( could have seasoned it after taking it off the grill). Normally it would get 4 stars alway room for improvement. I give it 4.5.

Pretty nice place. Cocktails and food were good. Don’t sit people near the door where the igloos are, maybe get a space heater. And try to check in on table more often. Otherwise great little spot.

Solo dinner on a Saturday night. Good craft beer selection. Had blackened mahi with bean salad, fish was spicy and savory, bean salad was a light nice balance. Friendly quick bar service.

Rustic, approachable, comforting – Central Public House is the premier culinary attraction in Hopkinton featuring a seasonally rotated menu and superb staff. Recently, I was particularly thrilled to see chef revisit Osso Buco with steak sourced from Wisconsin and the peasant dish, Duck Cassoulet, featuring crispy pork belly and sausage.

The place looks nice and neat. However, the food was mediocre. The service was not great as well. We felt like rushed and little knowledge about the menu. Unfortunately, after the pandemic only a few restaurants still have decent food.

I have only visited for lunch but it was awesome! Would recommend. Parking spots on Main St. but there are also spots behind the building – be aware of the signs, don’t park in the side lot – it’s for Hopkinton Drug only.
