Very cozy place in East Village. The food is excellent and portions are very generous. The regional set menu at $52pp is definitely worth it! Service was also friendly and attentive. I can see why it’s a favorite amongst the locals. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired and it could be modernized and freshened up. If I ever come again I’d get the food to go, as it was delicious!

Excellent neighborhood discovery. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasty. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the other dishes (looking at ya, ph short rib grilled cheese!)

A delightful experience from start to finish! We did the tasting menu and the shareable plates were absolutely excellent. Really surprising, a couple of the best bites I think we had at a dinner in some time. The entrée portions are actually fairly large so when they talk about sharing family style, I think you can limit the entrées and the appetizers.

Tremendously flavorful and authentic, the meal was one of the best I’ve had in NYC in terms of not only Vietnamese food, but Asian food in general. The dishes were exciting and well balanced, full of aroma. The dining space was cozy and inviting, and the service was amazing. Overall an amazing experience, and I would definitely go back, hopefully often.

Really good experience – just the two of us – had the set menu where we had some small amuse bouche still starters, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees. The pho short rib grilled cheese was awesome, as was the duck (mi Viet tiem).

Nice Vietnamese restaurant in East Village. Would recommend the Bahn Beo rice cakes, stir fry noodles, Mi Vi Tiem (roasted five spice duck with noodles) and taro dumpling soup. The rice cakes have chicharron (fried pork rinds) which add flavor and crunch. The duck noodle dish is very tasty. The taro dumpling soup makes for a nice dessert especially on a cold day.

Expect to order about two dishes per person at least since the portions are smaller. We ordered everything the waiter recommend and it was excellent! The grilled cheese with pho meat and broth was a favorite. So was the duck dish! As for cocktails, I ordered the ho Chi Smokey and I loved it.

I brought my mom and sister here and we had a delicious meal in a truly beautiful space. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with beautiful decor. We shared a bottle of one of their skin contact wines and decided to try the set menu, which was definitely the right choice. We all ordered different things to be able to sample as much of the menu as possible and loved every single dish. Highlights were the fried mochi balls, short rib grilled cheese, beef tartare, and beef main dish. I also highly recommend the Sapa Express cocktail if you like a Manhattan/old fashioned-style drink. Above all the service was amazing and our server helped explain how to eat all the dishes and helped customize some dishes for our needs. We will absolutely be coming back here.
