Summer Salt is now our favorite restaurant in Avalon. The food was incredible and we loved that it’s a farm to table with quality ingredients. Everything was delicious and flavorful. You can tell they put in a lot of effort into every aspect of the restaurant. Every worker was so kind, the view on the outside patio was great and the music was really good too. Only suggestion would be to put some sort of privacy screen to seperate the icecream customers from the summer salt tables. Overall I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and experience.

This place serves “hard” ice cream, and in incredible flavors. Black raspberry, salted caramel, the standard vanilla and chocolate. It’s smooth and delicious. They take credit cards. You order at the window, get a ticket number, and around the corner is the pickup window. The seating area is outside, with an unobstructed view of the ocean, but it is a narrow strip of deck and can be a bit crowded. The tables could be wiped down a little more often probably, but all in all, a great stop for an afternoon cool down, or after you try your luck at the various grabber games next door at the arcade. Napkins get a 4/10. I’ll go back and confirm napkin rating, and update. Jimmies and sprinkles and other toppings available, as well as water ice. Open 9-9p everyday and if the lines at Wawa have you vexed, they serve coffee! Prices are in line with what you’ll pay for anything here in Avalon.

This is an absolute gem on the island. The food here is unique, inventive and delicious. The four course meal is more than you think as the first two courses are loaded with various dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive. Note that if you are seated on the covered porch, there is a good draft, so come prepared in case it is a chilly night. Can’t wait to go back.

Summer Salt is in a class of its own! I was very impressed with the attentive staff, the cozy atmosphere, and the food was exceptional! It was a fine dining experience from start to finish! I can’t believe it took me so long to experience this gem, but look forward to returning soon!

Not the best tasting menu I have had. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Excellent service. Normally a tasting menu would include a taste of all the desserts and this did not. Heavy reliance on mayo in the sauces. Excellent corn fritters and squash salad. Enjoyed the scallops but only got three.

Original, fanciful, delicious, farm to table cuisine. It’s just as good today as it was last year. Heather and her spouse deliver a warm, wonderful dining experience. Though we didn’t get to eat outdoors to experience the beautiful dunes and ocean today, really the food is the only superstar that mattered. What a gem!!

Summer Salt is perhaps the best restaurant I have been to in Avalon. The menu is perfectly and thoughtfully crafted and prepared by the chef and his team. Everything goes so nicely together and the flow/timing of the meal is excellent. The scallops were some of the best I have ever had. The owners are also super nice and personable. They made it a point to make sure we enjoyed everything and it felt like we were in their own home and they were cooking a meal just for our party. Thank you Summer Salt for a perfect meal and an amazing evening.

An upscale, “Hampton-esque” style, farm-to-table restaurant, in a beautiful beachside setting, with easy parking. Oh we wanted to LOVE Summer Salt so much, but ended up just liking it instead. The highlights here are, polished & attentive service, Lovely beachside ambience, the sauces! (Oh those sauces!). Interior decor is simple but elegant in a beachy sort of way. Every dish is simply but attractively plated.

Outstanding service and attention to detail. My girlfriend and I went to celebrate her birthday and we both absolutely loved it here. She also has severe food allergies to all nuts, dairy, and eggs and they were able to accommodate. Without a doubt they know what they are doing, very cautious, and and knowledgeable . 100/10 no doubt about that we will be back!
