My friend recommended the wagyu fried rice. I came here to just try the wagyu fried rice and let me tell you it did not disappoint at all. 28 dollars for rice, I also got wasabi butter French rice 7 dollars and the blue fine spicy tuna roll. All three orders were really good and fresh. I came here by myself and majority of the time I get ignored for being single but I my waiter was attentive and treated me as if I was with a party. Bathroom is clean and the ambiance is really cool here.

We’ve been hearing a lot about Gyu San ok social media and finally decided to come check it out. There are several parking garages around the area, but you can also find some street parking that uses parkmobile. We made a reservation here for a Wednesday night at 5:30, but I’m not sure if we really needed it. We came a little earlier and got sat right away.

The place is pricey, but the food was great. Getting the check took a little more time than I would like. Also, it would be better if they start providing a bowl of white rice for each customer. The parking is a little harder to find. If you are lucky, you may get a street parking spot.

Everything is just meh ok, nothing exciting so no plans to come back. Both the beef and pork jowl are average, not the best we’ve had. Waygu fried rice is a bit on the wet side and a bit too greasy. I like the cold steamed egg the best and is topped with Ikura, uni, and scallions but is not cheap is $18, so make sure you like cold steamed egg. Service is great, very friendly.

Fun yakiniku style Japanese restaurant (think Korean bbq). Good mix of western and traditional Japanese cuts of meat. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. The sake selection was impressive.

It started off bad because we had to wait 20 mins for a table even though we had a reservation. They need to work on their reservation timings so people dont have to wait so long. There was a line ahead of us. The food was amazing! The miso ramen was the best I have had in Virginia. The bbq items were so juicy and nicely marinated. Will come again but plan to wait 20-30 mins.

I was just saying how Ballston needs a sit-down sushi spot and Gyu San exceeded my expectations. Excellent food with a lively atmosphere (good background music, lighting, artwork, etc.). I sat in the bar area and loved the energy.

This restaurant has a great restaurant with speedy service. We only have tried the lunch options so far, but they were great and reasonable for the price. Recommend trying the curry rice as an add-on/option. Will need to try the BBQ dinner soon!

I had an unforgettable dining experience yesterday they were soft opening. This restaurant not only offers exquisite Japanese BBQ but also serves fresh and delightful sushi that I simply couldn’t resist. From the wagyu beef to the pork, every cut of meat was incredibly fresh and tender. The accompanying sauces and dips were a perfect complement, infusing each bite with rich Japanese flavors. The staff was friendly, professional, and displayed a deep understanding of the various BBQ and sushi options on the menu. They enthusiastically answered my questions and attentively catered to our dining needs, making the entire experience even more enjoyable and comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend Gyu San Japanese BBQ to anyone seeking an outstanding Japanese BBQ and sushi experience. The combination of exceptional food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance makes it a true gem in Arlington. I can’t wait to visit again soon!
