4-9-23 – This was my maybe 3rd time here. As always, the food was great. There was a little delay in refilling our drinks. They, however, were friendly.

Sakura Sushi is Magalia’s Road House for Sushi. Their various rolls are pretty good. We had the specialty Rainbow, Crunchy, and the standard California roll which I can recommend. The Spam musubi (a great road snack) was well prepared as well. With some cold beers the food was good. However, be prepared for take-out. They hadn’t changed the oil in a while and the smell lingered on our clothes and hair for days. They’re making an effort and deserve a try but they need work on the ambiance.

Great little spot for sushi. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The food had good flavor and was prepared quickly. The fish seemed fresh and had good flavor. the rolls were all a decent size. The prices were fair. I will come back in the future. The restaurant appeared clean. It was a little cold but they had a space heater to keep us warm. I recommend giving this business a try.

Fast friendly service food is great, way better and more affordable than Happy Day plus the smoothies are delicious with Boba.

I took my son and mother here a long while ago. It’s very disgusting! Sushi was chewy in the nasty way, food was terrible, and my son wouldn’t even eat his rice! Mom loves this kind of food but didn’t finish her plate, she said it’s horrible! Zero or minus stars! And now they have a second location? I’m sorry Paradise!

I keep trying to give them the benefit of a doubt since they are local… But their food is absolutely terrible. Absolutely nothing ever tastes fresh, egg rolls were mushy and slimy with no taste, sweet and sour pork was soggy and the pork itself had a weird texture and watered taste, seseme chicken was 90% “breading” that tasted more like deep fried paper towels and again was soggy and not crispy, crab and cheese wontons had no filling and were over cooked. The restaurant constantly feels dingy and dirty. The sushi is a constant grey color (and I’ve gotten sick twice from it), again far from fresh. If you sit at the left side of the bar, you can see into the back where they have trays of food just sitting out, I’ve waited there for over an hour when they ‘lost’ my order and the trays of food never moved or were touched. I’m extremely disappointed that they opened a second location in Paradise. You are better off taking the time to drive to Chico. My husband is born and raised here and I’ve been up here since 2013. We both agree this is the worst place on the ridge. Not sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from because we are not eating at the same place.

Beautiful and delicious! The quality, fresh ingredients never disappoint. The wonton soup is amazingly rich and they definitely don’t skimp.

Food was great when they first opened before campfire. Now quality of food is 0. Most of the food comes from coctco. No thanks. I’ll cook. NASTY food.
