The fish and chips here is great. But that’s the only good part. The best way to describe the service here is “stingy.” Expensive drinks, no refills, a tiny cup of coleslaw (you could eat it in one bite) is $4, anything under $5 needs to be on cash.

The 3 piece was 15 bucks. The fish was fresh, crispy, and nicely seasoned however the fillets were very thin. About a quarter inch thick and not a single bite being a half inch. Fries were hot and crispy but unsalted. The tarter sauce was delicious and the cocktail sauce was not but don’t ask for both because it will immediately become an issue about $.75 or 1.50. Food and portions were good but the feeling of getting nickled and dimed was overwhelming. This lady would charge to refill a water cup if she could.

The fish, oysters, and fries were all cooked perfectly as always. But my favorite reason for visiting is the atmosphere. It’s always peaceful here. When I’m having a tough day, if I can’t make it down to the river this is one of my favorite places to go.
