I’ve eaten here many times now and have had donuts a few times.I’m updating this review. The last two times we’ve been here, it’s been empty, but the service has been horrible. This time, they served my husband moldy toast. The owners who were once very present are no longer around. The staff jokes around with each other while ignoring customers. I’m very disappointed with the way this restaurant has devolved. The first time I came here, I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict with a side of avocado. The sauce was flavorful, the eggs were poached just right, and the home fries were good (I always order them extra well done). The hash had a strange taste. They offer a flight of Mimosas, and you choose your flavors (mango, passion fruit, dragonfruit, blackberry, strawberry, etc.). The flavoring in the Mimosas is mostly just really sweet. The donuts have been a disappointment. They are too heavy for me.

We found this place by accident. It’s not really easy to see, but for me it’s a hidden gem. Don’t be fooled by the name of it, Donut Villa; it has lots more than Donuts; it has a full menu. We’ve been a number of times and we’re amazed at the large portions. The prices are about average, maybe even a bit less than some other places. This time we went on Sunday around 1:00 PM, and there were only a few open seats, but still, we were shown to our seats rather quickly. The atmosphere was great, the food delicious, and the wait staff super friendly. They also have a bar. Everyone was more than accommodating, meeting our needs as we stayed. There isn’t a lot of parking, but Mass Ave is close by and there’s also a huge parking lot within walking distance, right in back of Saint Agnes Church. The Church is located on Medford Street, right around the corner from Donut Villa. Donut Villa is conveniently located in Arlington Center. I’d definitely recommend this place. My friend loved it right away and practically begged to go the following week, which we did. Oh, you can also eat outside if you wish. They have umbrellas and the service is great out there too.

Plain and simple, the food is not good. Given it two tries, and it is bewildering to me how a kitchen can’t even do proper eggs. If you order scrambled, you get a pile of rubber. If you get a burrito, it arrives sitting in a pool of liquids. Home fries weren’t charred, but burnt. Had to mask the taste with ketchup.

The service was fast on a Sunday afternoon, the food was tasty with decent portions, and the atmosphere was fun and light. I ordered the Reuben Omelet and was very satisfied with the flavors! I would certainly be glad to come back and try more options.

Starting with the good news, the vibes were definitely good and fun. They had good music playing at a comfortable volume so we could still talk across our big table (went as 8 ppl). They were like medium busy when we got there so we sat really quick. The bad news is that the service was very slow even considering we were a big group. The place only got emptier while we were there but getting water and such took a while. The server who took our orders was very nice and patient with our questions! So overall the experience would have been great if the food were better and service were quicker. They also seemed to have some issues keeping track of orders, we were brought a drink we didn’t order and a duplicate of the Ruben instead of the dish one of us ordered.
