I stumbled upon this place killing time before a boat charter and wow am I glad! I was greeting by a very lovely bartender who served me a summery beer. I ordered the flatbread with no tomatoes and it was fantastic! Excellent, fresh ingredients and so much fresh Italian basil my grandmother would have been proud. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else! Thanks!

Good taverns always come with solid nachos, and this tavern was no exception. Good atmosphere, good beer selection, great chili, and most importantly, solid nachos! Anyone camping in homosassa could enjoy this stop in downtown crystal river!

We had an awesome dinner here! The food took awhile to be prepared, but that’s ok because we weren’t in a hurry and it was worth the wait! And if we had wanted fast food we would have gone elsewhere. Roxanne did a great job taking care of us. We would definitely go back if we return to this area.

The Tavern is my favorite place to get food and drinks. They have a large selection of beers, can make whatever drink you want, they even have a smoker for the wiskeys, and the food is always amazing.

Great drink prices. We only had apps, but they were good despite us coming in just before the kitchen closed. The drinks were well made and brought out by the bar staff quite quickly.

If you have not been to St. John’s Tavern in Crystal River then you should hurry there! The environment is friendly from the moment you walk in, but that’s not all. The building is quaint, classy, and more importantly it is spotless. I can’t say enough about the food either. It is not your average bar with food to match…the food is really good and you can tell they put a lot of time into making each meal, which comes out pretty quick. On some nights, you can also walk into their Martini Bar, which is attached and right next door, for the best martini you will ever have (hands down). What’s even more, they have entertainment! Don’t miss this place!

Recently I’ve had the distinct pleasure of knowing Noel & Greg who own St John’s, super great people. St John’s tavern truly is a hidden gem in crystal river. If you appreciate great service, mature and yet a mix of wild atmosphere with a touch of awesomeness, this is the place to be.
