We had empanadas, jerk chicken, collards, chicken soup, Johnny cakes, goat curry, red beans and yellow rice and spicy rice. Now, we must return to eat the other 75% of the menu. Sooooo delicious. Everyone was so friendly!!

My brother found this place and omg it was a great find…. The food was delicious and great quality as well. Also great customer service, the owner was super friendly to my brother…. and even tried to speak Spanish to welcome him. We apparently her kindness and care to her costumers. My husband and I came across West Indian Kitchen In Jacksonville NC. Prior to visiting i noticed all great reviews so we knew we had to check it out. We ordered oxtails and side of jerk chicken & the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Very clean atmosphere & their ratings was great (99%) . The service was definitely top tier I never had customer service as great as we did. The owner is one of a kind you would think we met her before lol , she was great . She told us she love what she do and she love watching people eat her food. We felt allllll the love while eating. We will definitely be going back

My fiance brought me here when I moved down because he’s been eating their food for over six years and I was not disappointed. He got a small curry chicken which was actually a huge serving of chicken, beans, and spicy rice and I got the beef empanada combo. Everything tasted great and was fresh, loved the soursop slush, and the owners are super friendly and we chatted about the business and food and them bringing their food truck back on base. Finally made it to NC. Slipped away for a late lunch with mom and it did not disappoint. Best Johnny Cake I’ve had since 2018 in St. Croix. Flavors were on point, service was impeccable. The owner is amazing, she called my mom Mama when she entered the door and came out to check on us. I must say the Island lives in the south. Well worth the drive. Delicious lives here.

This family owned and operated business has never disappointed in flavor or service. I’ve been eating their food since they were serving out of a food truck on base. The curry goat is fantastic and the prices are always fair. Absolutely love this place!
