This used to be my absolute favorite restaurant growing up when we lived in Baton Rouge. We were looking forward to visiting after having moved away on our trip back home only to find out they have completely gotten rid of the buffet. Since covid, they have not reopened the buffet, which was what we were looking forward to. It used to be such a great restaurant to try new Indian dishes. We ended up not having lunch there.

The food there was so delicious. The fusion of the different curries from india is some thing you must try. The service was top notch, it was quick and tasty don’t forget their home made sweets, icecream which we didn’t get to try cuz of we were so full.

Absolutely amazing. Service was great. Food was great. Malai kofta was the best Indian dish I have ever had. Naan was great. Will definitely return.

I ordered chilli chicken which very bad to eat and not good . We also ordered chicken 555 which is some what better to eat. But not recommended to eat when you are trying for Indian food.

Absolutely great authentic Indian food. The naan is always fresh and the spice level is just right if you like a little heat. Super tasty and at a good price, too.

The first time I came it was a very good experience and that’s why I come back, but this would be my last because the service wast terrible. The waitress was not attentive at all, she was more worried about cleaning the empty tables than about checking on the customers. They never came to ask if we needed anything. They never came to pick up our empty plates even when I asked for her to please clean our table, she said she would clean it all at once, but she never came back to cleaned our table. I told her I was unhappy with the service and she smiled and said thank you instead of apologizing. The waitress that served us did not care about our satisfaction at all.

First time experiencing Indian food, and I have to say it was amazing! Especially the lamb! The naan was delicious! The chai tea and even the lemonade was homemade and so good! I also have to mention the family that owns the restaurant was so sweet and accommodating. We will stop again if we’re ever in the area.

Remodel. Shut down and remodel. I’ve gone here since 1999. The restaurant is so extremely dirty and worn down, it makes me concerned as to what the kitchen looks like. I think they should have remodel 15 years ago. Sadly an easy dish didn’t have much flavor or depth. The service was friendly. Outdated. Greasy floors dirty walls. It’s time to give back to BR and put money into the restaurant. I figured I’d give it another shot but Oakleaf is my go to now.

a cockroach crawled across the table while we were eating, they said we had to tip, plates were dirty, and she asked me if i was expecting when i am simply just over weight. barelt any food and extremely expensive, someone i went eat with now has food poisoning!!!!!when she brought it up to the owners later that day they chased her out and locked the doors they told her to deal with it and that the hospital was right next door if she was so sick
