Chengdu Taste is our favorite Sichuan spot in Chinatown. The spicy shrimp is crunchy, flavorful and delicious. The eggplant with garlic is spicy and fantastic. Service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend eating here if you are looking for flavorful, spicy food!

The food was authentic and delicious. We came in at closing and was amazed how accommodating they were. Beautiful restaurant interior.

This is the same owner as the one in Diamond Bar, CA, as I found out later. In the last couple of months, I’ve enjoyed their creations many times. Clearly, I’m addicted. Chengdu is famous for their menu. The city is located in Central China inside the province of Sichuan. Sichuan is the proud producer of many peppers and mushrooms. Sichuan peppers are spicy and produce an oil that has a very unique flavor. With Chengdu’s nearby access to all of this produce, their notorious dishes are known to Chinese people and have become one of my favorite type of Chinese food. Most of the dishes are filled with a protein like fish chicken or beef and some other types, then vegetables, but my opinion for what makes these dishes stand out is the seasoning and spices. The peppers kick everything up a notch or two. And chengdu taste has mastered the dishes from that region.

We keep coming back every time we visit Vegas. Perfect chengdu cuisine far away from chengdu !

Important thing to note is their meal is for at least 2 people, didn’t know that, doesn’t say on their menu, and sever didn’t say either.

For spicy and genuine food, this place is the bomb. The one spice and 2 spice hot levels are just wow, and it doesn’t mask the flavors of the food. The lamb sticks and deep fried chicken are my faves. Lamb sticks have great flavor and the fried chicken had a crunchy light batter and it brought the heat for sure. Service is good and I would describe it more like a no nonsense food place where it’s more guys serving, more just matter of fact service – a female touch would prolly put the service 5/5 but this place is great food 5/5, service 4/5.

Not only is the service horrible but they have a bad attitude about it. I’m surprise someone hasn’t gotten physically knocked out here. Food is average .

The Vegas Heat these days could be referring to the entrees flying out of the kitchen at Chengdu Taste. Authentic Szechuan inspired Chinese is the goal here: And they hit the note with authority.

I ordered online when I traveled in Vegas. I’ve been to Chengdu Taste in Hawaii and Los Angeles, they both taste good! But the dishes I order here are not as good as the others. The meet is not fresh, the red chili chicken only has chicken meat and 4 other vegetables, which is different than what I had before. This is the first and last time for this location.

I’ve been coming here for about four years. Compared to the Houston Chengdu Taste, this outlet is a bit of a dive (even after the post-covid renovation). I used to come for the food, but the prices are so ridiculously high (double from a few years ago) and the service is so poor, that I go to lots of cleaner, friendlier, tastier, and cheaper Sichuan restaurants like China Mama.
