Service was good, the Mexican food is well below average. Very strange tasting sauce. I’ve tried both the red and green sauces, it’s so bad I can’t eat it. Very strange funky flavor. Love Mexican food and this is all they have in Valentine.

The only thing authentic was the bottle of coke. Everything came out of a box or package. The tortillas, taco shells, rice (taste like zatarans), beans, cheese (bagged) are all store bought. The beef lacks flavor, the green sauce (verde) on the enchiladas came out of a jar. I ordered the taco, enchilada, tamale plate. Tamale was……nevermind. You get the point. NOT AUTHENTIC, NOT HOMEMADE! For Valentine I give them a 5 star. Very friendly, quality ingredients. If you like asparagus order it!!!! Also even though I’m a Pepsi drinker they have the Mexican coke-a-cola in a bottle I stop in just for That!

A small restaurant, but it was clean and the server was friendly. The food was good, and the portions were generous. The main problem was that service took a very long time. Each step, getting menus, drinks, appetizers, meals, took a long time. Also, the waitress stood behind me and watched as I filled out the check/tip, which was awkward.

This place filled up fast around 11:30 am on a weekday which indicated good Mexican food. Our food was great, huge portions and excellent service. We would seek this place out again when traveling through the next time. Prices were high for the café style restaurant but the daily special was reasonable and good tasting.

Place claims to be Mexican food, but is not. The “smothered burrito” that I had was so bland, that even salt and pepper didn’t help. Who in their right mind would charge $1 for a basket of chips and salsa? Then $2.50 for each basket after? I’ve had better Mexican food from Taco Bell and that ain’t even Mexican food

Real authentic homemade mexican food. Good prices. We had the smothered burrito with green sauce and extremely soft deeply flavored pulled beef. This place does not get enough recognization in the town of Valentine Ne. Will definatly be back on our next ride through.
