This place deserves more than 5 stars! I always order the Tiger roll and the Neptune roll (pictured) with some salmon sushi – the quality and taste is second to none. The staff is friendly and attentive and service is fast. One of the best places for sushi I have ever been to, I strongly recommend this place!

Popped in to grab dinner alone. Enjoyed a Milky Way roll (in the photo), which is spicy tuna with crunchiness and white, yellowtail, and salmon on top and reasonably priced at $15. Had two glasses of Chilean chardonnay at $6.75 each. And a mixed green salad on the side. Everything was great

Kawa deserves a 5 star rating because of the value offered. The sushi is very good at a GREAT price for NYC these days. The place is a small, neighborhood place — not a scenic place. But the quality of the food was MUCH better than expected, and the price is right — especially considering the surrounding area, where you pay a lot more for the atmosphere.
