This my new spot! Birra was amazing compared to our usual spot and customer service was sooooo good. Gave us free coffee on the house, definitely coming back!

TLDR: Do not eat here. Overpriced, soggy and old food served here.

So delicious! We ordered birria tacos and the cali burrito. It was so much food and every bite was so tasty. Highly recommend! Phone did not eat first, but documentation was necessary.

Such good FOOD Omg! I did a pick up order but everything was hot and fresh. The birria tacos were out of this world and the corn fritters I could literally eat 68 pounds of. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. The place is also so fun! Love the decor!

By far, the best barria tacos and ramen I’ve ever had. I order takeout from here a few times a month and it’s always fast, consistent and absolutely amazing.

The food and ambiance were good. The food is a little expensive for the way it is served. I felt like I was in a hospital cafeteria. I think that adding 20% gratitude to the bill when I had to go to the counter to order my food and water is wrong. I’m not sure if I would go back. I didn’t like the cheap presentation and the obligatory gratitude without a waitress.

I have been following Jenn and Juana Tamale for so long that it felt like a dream to finally be sitting in the restaurant vibing with the other customers and staff. The food is more than a reflection of passion. It’s fight, heart, and true knowledge in every bite. There’s so much about the food and the merge of Mexico and Philly cultures and this is a great starting point for those willing to learn.

I had tamale for take out and was disappointed. An automatic 20% gratuity was added. For take out. Pay your employees and be honest with your prices.

TLDR: If you’re vegan and your omnivorous friends want to go, give it a try. But don’t make this a destination just for the vegan birria.

Instead of forcing a 20% gratuity onto the bill, without any warning, just work it into the price. The prices you proudly display behind the counter are wrong, and are essentially false advertising. When asked about the gratuity, we were told “that’s what pays the kitchen staff.” I’d hate to see what you’re paying them without the gratuity! What a shame because the place is clean and the food is good, but will probably not be back. Pay your employees better!
