I’m kinda biased to this place but, because it’s my local go to place I want you to know it too. The ingredients are fresh, they had tuna that was seared perfect. The gumbo had great flavor. By the way, nobody makes gumbo the same way, your mom doesnt work there so stop comparing it to that. The desserts are made in house. Last one i had was the coconut pie. Holy hell. I cant tell you how good it is. It was delicious, it made me mad and happy, and that’s what good food does, it stirs emotion. It made me mad because, how could this be that good? Happy because i got to try it and enjoy it. Once upon a time in Mexico has a scene that replays in my mind. The wait staff are great, I was impressed when our server served us our first slice of pizza. I didn’t realize it but that small gesture was thoughtful. Get the pizza, I recommend the naked pizza no tomatoes, add pepperoni, olives, and feta. I like the garlic butter on that one as opposed to tomato sauce. That’s mine feel free to use it, I’m getting it with bacon next time.

During a date night drive wife and I saw this restaurant nearby and decided to stop. We are SO glad we did. Allie greeted us at the door and turned out to be our server, lucky us. Once she learned it was our first time here, she made some recommendations, which was spot on. Pot stickers were amazing! We order the hangover burger and a meat lover pizza. Both were absolutely delicious! Wife and I will definitely be back!

We called ahead, last minute, with 10-15 people. The lady was so sweet & accommodating. We showed up, she had tables ready for us. The service & food were 10/10. We had po’boys, pizza, shrimp and cocktails. The employees and customers all greeted our 11 year old baseball players with compliments (we just finished one of our games nearby). We now have a favorite restaurant in Galveston. Thank you!

We have been here several times and today was the best server we have had. Granted the other servers were good also, we have never had bad service. Melissa B. did a great job during a busy time frame here on a Friday night. The food here tastes homemade and obviously a great chef is in back of house! The strawberry marscapone cake was AMAZING and not heavy at all. Very light and fluffy frosting with a lot of flavor. Clearly made at the location (or they fooled me). Our 7 year old approves.

This hidden gem has amazing food! The food is so good we ate there twice in one day. The atmosphere is chill and comfortable and when you go ask for Marla!! We had the shrimp Philly, gumbo, and Parmesan crusted catfish! Lawd hammercy!!

This place was pretty good. Looks and feels like a tiny old wood beach cabana. You could go here with a date or like 4-6 friends. The parking lot is only half paved. The food was slow and a bit under seasoned but it was very fresh. The menu is chaotic like with lasagna and pizza on one page and street tacos on another, and then fried catfish and po boys as well… But they make it work. Good job BB and B.

Recently, the owner Dee did a beautiful charcuterie board for a broker open house! Highly recommend for all the newbies moving into Bayou Vista, Omega Bay or Tiki Island!
