This is the second time I’ve ate here. The first time was the day after Christmas with my daughter in law. Today was with my husband and son. They had the buffet and they both loved the food. I had the chicken fried steak with their amazing . It was a great experience with the owner and server. My coffee never ran out and both were very attentive.

Good food & the best coffee in Mountain Home. Sometimes it takes a bit to get your order in because it’s always busy. The owner is always bringing drinks if they’re swamped. She’s very engaged with customers & the restaurant in general, cleaning tables or whatever is needed. This makes her employees do the same so service is good & friendly.

It’s been a great long while since I’ve got up and left a restaurant, but this first time customer will now forget this business. After a 15 minute wait, we find out that the hostess/drinks server/bus lady/coffee re-filler informed us that she was “not” our server and that our actual server would “get your order when she has time.“

I do not usually bother to write a review but I was so shocked by this restaurant’s attitude I am doing so. We live in Kansas City and meet family regularly in the Mt Home area as it is centrally located. There were 6 of us that decided to go eat breakfast. Upon arrival we were told to seat ourselves so I entered looking for a table that was large enough-nothing. The lady at the front said we could separate and eat a different tables which was not an option we wanted. When I said no she said to try the other side of the restaurant maybe someone over there could help us. I walked over to the other side to see what was available and a young man asked how many. I told him six. He said that he had nothing either. So there I stood in the middle of the restaurant with my relatives. No one said anything about waiting until a table opened up or anything. They just kept saying they didn’t have anything. No apologies-nothing. We were just happy to visit with each other so waiting wouldn’t have been a big deal. We left as we did not feel welcome at all. I can’t tell you how surprised we all were but I can tell you that Mel’s Diner was close by. It was short staffed and still a wonderful place to eat. They opened up the banquet room for us. We had a great waitress, good food and excellent company. Very disappointed with The Cozy Kitchen as they just did not care.

Definitely a great stop!!! The coffee was incredible! The food was delicious! The staff kept up with any need we had; continuously checking in us. We were not disappointed at all. I can see why they are such a busy little diner.
