At first impression, it was rare that they asked for “Reservations” and they toke time to look for a table for us, but the place is small and it was almost empty. And it was like that the entire time that we spent there; so, I didn’t get the point of the reservation and made us wait for the table. For that reason, I could imagine that the food would be really good but it was not our taste and I am sorry to say that because the people who work there are really nice. I like to say the trust, and I will share the pictures of the food, My plate was the steak sandwich with fries, I liked it! And also the spring roll as an appetizer with a sweet red sauce that I loved it! But my husband and daughter plates were chicken noodles, and they didn’t like it. I tried them both, and I didn’t like it either. The flavor was like burned noodles or vegetables. They wanted to make up for us for a new noodle but still not a good taste. So, I need to say the trust, and I don’t think the prices for the menu should be right according to the quality and the size of the plates; even more, they have expensive plates in the menu that I wouldn’t even try them and not take the risk. It is a nice restaurant anyway that you should try and make your own impressions because they have more on the menu.

I have been here three times before leaving this review, because I am always torn about this place. I would describe it as Upscale Filipino. I have been a loyal customer of their other restaurants for about 10 years, but this is a completely different concept. In line with it being upscale, it is at the very top of expensive filipino food in town. And the food is really good, almost always. On two occasions I had this burnt aftertaste that other reviews commented on (once on the pancit, once on the Filipino breakfast, which is fried rice), not acceptable at this price point. The service is good and friendly, but it is not really up to par with the concept. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, but a bit cramped. Tables refuse to stay put, which is really annoying and detrimental to the whole experience. But the worst thing is the restrooms. There is only one restroom per gender, no baby changing table on either, and cleanliness leaves to be desired, same as the floors, where you can always find debris. This restaurant could be exceptional, but they have a lot of work left to match the rest of the experience to the product they are trying to sell.

We loved this place! The 5 hr chili ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. Great flavor and thick, with lots of meat. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy with chocolate ganache. The KFC Sando sandwich had a crispy exterior breading with moist, hot, chicken meat inside. Pork Adobo was also tender in a tasty vinegar based broth. We were so excited about the entrees that we forgot to order the best item on the menu, the lumpia! We walked in on a Sunday morning around 11am during their brunch. I recommend making reservations during this time. It was busy and all the seats were taken. Lucky for us we were able to sit on a side counter near the kitchen that is first come first serve. The bar is also available without reservations. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive although they were very busy. We really enjoyed the food and service. We will definitely return.

OMG Filipino food feasting at its finest! This place is AMAZING and the Best in San Antonio! The food was perfectly seasoned and great Texas sized portions. Lumpia’s we’re Awesome. Atmosphere and ambiance was very calm and relaxing. Place was packed but it felt very homy! Bar available and small market onsite. Will most certainly be back a hundred times over!! Even the soap in the restroom was calm and soothing! I didn’t get to try their infamous Texas sized dessert because we were just that full! But it looked AMAZING!

Sari-Sari. The restaurant so nice, they named it twice! All I can say is wow!!!! So good! And I went with a friend who is Filipino and she says it is legit! Started with the lumpia and it was tasty (though she said hers was better! But hey she cooks this food for her family so she is allowed to say it!). I had the Mussels de Manila. The sauce was bursting with flavor and the bacon in it was the perfect addition to the sauce. Loved that they gave toast to soak up the sauce and the fries were tasty! My friend had the Porchetta and man was the pork juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We finished the evening with the Turon Banana Cheesecake and it was the perfect pairing of sweetness from the sugar and bananas and creaminess from the cheesecake. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. If you go on a Friday or Saturday the chefs do a 4-8 course meal! I will definitely be back for that!

My wife and I visited this spot for dinner. We have been to and really enjoyed their second location but were in the area and wanted to see if this location had the same quality meal. After visiting, I can admit that the location and service were excellent. The meal was fantastic, so if in the area, don’t hesitate to drop in.

Unfortunately, the chicken in the curry was rubbery and unappetizing. The wings are crispy and big, but largely lacking in flavor. There’s room for improvement. The service is great and the staff is welcoming.
