This is by far my favorite Tex Mex taco place in the RGV! The owners are friendly, and the food is always tasty (and very filling). I appreciate how the owners – Ale and Danny – are welcoming, accommodating, and are willing to strike up warm conversations with customers to get to know them better. Moreover, though the tacos are on the pricier end (prices starting at $7 – 8), one taco fills me up for two meals – I’ve heard this is the case for other friends that I’ve taken to El Sancho. The tacos are usually stuffed with additional sides and garnishes, such as cheese, egg, avocado, or cilantro – they’ve never skimped out on their food even with the current inflation. Thank you for the great food and experiences these past few years, Ale and Danny!

Legit some of the best bbq around. The breakfast tacos are amazing and very filling. I’ve had several items off the menu and really loved every item. The menu changes everyday. The owner and his staff are professional very pleasant. They’re also very active on social media. HRS open, menu and item availability is frequently posted. Want delicious food? Go to El Sancho!

My second time eating here and the food is always so dang good! This taco was barbacoa and it was huge. The tortilla was the perfect size to hold this amount of meat and it never tore while eating. Though it was a big taco, it was the perfect amount of food (at least for me).

Generous portions of tasty barbacoa (no gross pcs @ all) and a great corn tortilla made the taco a must try. The brisket was tender and flavorful, without being overly salted. The breakfast plate also included 2 perfectly cooked eggs, potatoes, beans, and bacon. The owner was also super friendly, which made us like it even more. We’ll definitely go back on our next Valley trip!

Barbecue is top notch, from the perfectly cooked tortillas, crispy tips and pork belly, brisket, pickled onions, and pretty much their whole menu is delicious! Their food is created in such a way that it’s more than just barbecue, it’s an experience. Great community of people and great food, it’s a winning combination!
