Seeing hand-pulled corned beef hash on the menu got our attention, and we weren’t disappointed! It tasted great. We were also surprised at how quickly our meal came out; they seem to know their way around the grill! We’ll have to stop back for burgers next time we’re in town.

Decent little meal. Probably a buck or two more than it should have been compared to relative places and what you get. Handful of fries and a burger that easily fits in the palm of your hand. But the taste was good, food came out at a decent pace. Service was attentive. In and out in under 30 minutes at lunch time seemed like an alright turnaround too.

I ordered online and went in to pick up my order. The waitress asked me what the name was on the order and how I ordered. I told her I ordered on their website and she replied that the online orders don’t actually work. She offered to put the order in then or give me a refund. I let her put the order in and I waited. I understand it is not the staff’s fault at all, but why would you run a business this way? Offer online orders that don’t actually do anything (except charge my credit card)? I stopped going here for a long time because every time I tried to call, no one would answer the phone, which is why I was happy to be able to order online this time! Ha! Good trick!

Had lunch there today and it was delicious! Best onion rings and deep fried pickles I’ve ever had! Seriously, ever! The batter makes it. I had the cheeseburger deluxe and that was great. Juicy, good flavor. I joked with the server that I had to do “the Hunch”. Totally recommend!

Excellent food! Chimney stack and Jalapenos Burger was delicious! On another note, I get that someone is clinging on to that old sign…. But seriously. That’s why I never stopped in. It looks terrible. I’m not sure what happened today that had us choose this place but I loved it. Same sign but all cleaned up. Do that.

I went to eat with my family, a friend recommended the place, customer service was not good at all, we felt treated differently from others, I am Hispanic, we ordered the drinks and they were given to us in disposable cups, we observed all the tables and everyone had normal glasses except my family and I, I asked the waitress why she had given us those types of cups and her answer was, we don’t have more of the others and that’s why we gave you those types of cups, we realized that they had more but for some reason they won’t give it to us. Visiting this place a was very uncomfortable.

Ordered the flight of burgers online for pickup. 90 min wait. I was ok with that. I picked it up on time. The food was very cold. And I will say this – the crinkle fries, eh. If I try again, I would sit in and order onion rings.

This is an absolutely amazing place. This has been open on the Northside of Grand Rapids since 1952. This is a true local gem. The burgers are amazing. The place is full of old school charm. The Fat Boy Bacon Blue burger was superb. They fry on a flat top grill. This gives the burger a crust that is the hallmark of a real burger. Our server was very polite and attentive. The food arrived quickly.When in Grand Rapids this is a must stop.
