Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.
Casual chain serving frozen fruit drinks along with submarine sandwiches, fries & salads. Based on 282 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.0 stars. Price $

I love Italian ice! So, I have tried many places around the Valley. Eegee’s has a very close consistency. I think here it melts a bit more cause of the temperatures. Cotton Candy was so yummy!!

I was so intrigued by the bright clean colors of the decor and marketing material. The place is super clean. I ordered an Original Grinder with fries. The place isn’t Coke which is disappointing. The fries looked anemic but were actually better than they looked. They were salted perfectly. The ranch was good. The flavor of the grinder was ok but the bread was not the best. It’s just an average meal that I wouldn’t go out of my way to have again.

I got one of the grinders as well as a lemon eegee. It all got out decently fast, and everything tasted great. The restaurant was very clean and the tables looked like they were just cleaned. I would recommend going here

I’ve now been here twice, first experience was just as terrible as this one. I asked for large drinks they handed me a small, when I asked for a large at the window, the guy (Mitch) got upset. Asked the lady next to him to get him a large. She yelled out “I HATE IT HERE”, a few of the employees in the building laughed and thought she was funny. I have been waiting in line for approx 12 min the lady in the front car got out and looked upset because she’s been here longer than me. Anyway, poor management (Mitch). Owners need to make changes, this staff is hurting the bottom line.

Looked like a fun place to eat but was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. Fries were average crinkle fries. Ranch dressing was good. I ordered a club sandwich and it had four slices of meat and a small piece of bacon. The meat was not fresh and processed. The bacon was like a piece of plastic. The bread was not fresh nor was it good. The strawberry drink was like a thick slushee with a slightly better taste. I actually took just a few bites and threw the entire meal in the trash. Unfortunate because this looks like a really fun concept but the quality of the food is just not there. Will not return.

First time here. Brand new. Place is clean and simple. Right off the freeway. Drive through. Grinders are delicious. The fruit flavors are refreshing and yummy. They have a rewards club so you can get free perks such as a free eegee. Self order at the window. Huge garage doors open up to a nice patio with wood benches

We had a large event at our office nearby we had 9 /3 foot subs all pre cut 2 frozen eegee’s party packs. Everything was ready to be picked up at 9AM the morning of the event. Big shout out to April and her crew for going the extra mile of us. Subs and eegees were Great! We are definitely using you for future events!

First time ever at an eegee’s. Staff was very friendly and the pace was clean, which was expected as it is a new building. The deluxe grinder was good, everything tasted fresh and the bread was soft. I also tried the buffalo fries and thought they were pretty darn good too! Overall, a pretty solid spot.
