I’ll begin with the fact that they were somewhat busy when I arrived. The host seemed visibly irritated when I asked for a booth. I had to ask for a refill on salsa and drinks. My carnitas were pretty bland. When I went to pay the host wouldn’t make eye contact and seemed upset the entire time. I am very respectful and friendly, but this guy wasn’t having it. I will not return. The salsa is good though. 1 whole star for that.

This is the worst Mexican place in town and quite frankly, the worst Mexican place I’ve ever been to. I’ve been three times now and both times I was disrespected by the guy in the front who always seems to have a rude attitude. Both times, he tried to rush me when getting payment, making a signal with his hand trying to get me to hurry up even though I was actively pulling out my wallet the second I got to the counter. The guy is the front obviously don’t not care about his attitude or about the customers. That’s the service you can expect at this Monte Albon, now let’s talk about the food.

Pretty sure our server was under the influence of something. Confirmed our order 3-4 times and still brought me the wrong thing. Food was the worst I’ve ever had. No flavor and meat was like rubber. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but when you are vacationing like us, you need to know what you’re getting. This place has so much potential though.

Lots of standard Mexican fare done generally very well. The wait staff was attentive and the place was quite busy. It may sound minor, but my complaint is about the chairs and the floor. The chairs are very heavy and when you try to move them they squeal and make lots of noise rubbing on the floor. Since I use a walker, the weight of the chairs is a little difficult to handle and keep my balance.
