Atmosphere is great has changed a lot since I was younger and west side was my go to bar. Food was very disappointing, all the food seems like it’s frozen. It doesn’t really taste fresh or that flavorful. The fettuccine wasn’t very good, the garlic bread and my chicken patty I’m sure was frozen by the looks and taste of them. I also received barely a handful of fries with my meal, all in all I would say I wasn’t that impressed.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. The waiters are nice to location feels warm, and homely. If I hadn’t moved to Florida, I’d eat there now. It’s worth the drive and cost to spend time with your loved ones at this family diner.

I happened to be in the area and only went there because they happen to sell tater tots and I had my 19 month old granddaughter with me. The price I paid for the sandwich I ordered didn’t match up with the price tbh. But whatever, my granddaughter ate what I put in front of her, so good enough.

Rueben sandwich was best I ever had. BFF had the super-sized Berry salad. Both were amazing. Heartily recommended. Owners and waitstaff always know their stuff and couldn’t be friendlier or nicer. Many years of coming here.

Dita’s skillet was terrible! It’s canned corned beef (nuked, not even fried) and hash on hasover top (double hash browns…) with a can of gravy poured overtop. It’s soggy and very underwhelming. It tastes like disappointment. Also, beware that you’ll be charged an extra 3.8% if you use ANY card, or you can use an ATM for $2.50. I’m making breakfast at home from now on.

The staff were nice and efficient. Very cozy family restaurant feel. They accommodated my vegan diet and made a veggie skillet which was really great. Single-use plastic containers were used for syrup which was not ideal due to waste and sustainability reasons, would be great if they had other solutions for syrup.
