Place sucks. I use to love the dynamite maki until they got lazy and wasn’t making fresh shrimp tempura for it. Also the fish taste funny now, not fresh at all. Who wants to eat saggy tempura/ bread pudding with old fish? I’ll pass. Thanks for the refund but next time don’t mouth off and walk away just because your costumer is unsatisfied.

I called to place a to go order. Young girl took my order and after I repeated it she told me it would take 20 minutes. I live close by so I went to pat for the order and wait as I don’t like sushi that has been sitting around. Young girl working at the counter took my card for payment and asked if I wanted the receipt. I don’t normally, but maybe I should have. Got to my friend’s house and discovered her meal Poke Salad was missing. I called and asked the girl about it and all she could say was, “Did you want to order it now?” I told her yes because my friend doesn’t have her meal. All she has is her sides. I placed the order and each time I order she puts me on hold to tell someone. She comes back on the phone, “We don’t have that dish.” “What? Is that why I wasn’t given it?” She said yes. WTHeck?! Seriously?! I asked her, “It didn’t cross your mind to tell me so I could order something else?” She got quiet and then said, “So do you want to order something?” Wow. Even Alexa or Siri has better manners. Not one apology of any kind. Food was cheap, but not worth it. Sad customer service.

It was a really bad bad experience. The order take spoke so softly behind her mask I couldn’t understand her and had to ask her to repeat everything 2 to 3 times. It wasn’t that big of an order and took almost 1 hour, FOR BASIC sushi – ika, natto, & spicy ahi. I paid for a bag but she tried to pass me 2 tray containers & some chopsticks NOT in a bag. I finally made I contact and told her I paid for a bag. Order had NO ginger, 2 small packets of shoyu, plus order was WRONG. I asked for 2 orders of ika & 1 order of natto and got 2 orders of natto and 1 order of ika.

Great lunch deals at the Makiki Sushi Man. I love sushi and I have to say the Makiki Sushi Man is on point. For the price you get some good sushi. They have $6.00 lunch bentos and a wide selection of good sushi. Even their spam musubis are good. A lot of free parking in the back and they serve Pepsi!…lol.

I had a plate lunch of $18 with a dynamite roll plus 2 salmon hand rolls. The dynamite roll only has a single shrimp tempura in the middle, and some spicy ahi tuna to top it off. The 2 hand rolls were made of very poor quality salmon, mostly end cuts that chef threw away from making other rolls. Overall, I paid $18 for a single tempura shrimp, some spicy ahi, junk fatty salmon pieces, rice and 3 pieces of nori. Very bad!

Got this to try a new place. Pretty disappointed to be honest, the quality of the fish is grainy and not good. Might as well go to Kozo Sushi. They’re a little cheaper and have 2x better the quality.
