When we went in the hostess informed us that they were in the middle of shift change an got us waters until the waitress came out. When she came out she promptly took our drink order and appetizers. I was a bit disturbed that she put her breast in my man’s face without any acknowledgement and she smiled. The food is impeccable, great flavor although a bit much on the oil with the Salmon and collard greens.

We had great and fast service, but the food itself was kind of meh. The meatloaf was bland, the poutine was flavorless. The tri tips was just okay- the meat itself wasn’t seasoned but it had a decent bbq sauce on it that covered that up, same thing for the grilled salmon- salmon itself had no flavor but the sauce on the plate was pretty good, the potatoes and green beans were good. Beers were decent. Expensive for what it is.

We stopped by to have some Stillwater beer at their new home here at Talking Cedar. This place is HUGE! They have a bunch of beer on tap from both breweries, as well as cans in their cooler to take home. They also share this space with a distillery. So if you prefer cocktails, they’ve got you covered.

This place is spendy but you get what you pay for. Service was too notch and the environment was upbeat and the food and drink were very good. I had the corned beef and cabbage on st. Patty’s day and it was great, my friend had the barbeque pork and he said it was very good. I also had a drink and it was to my liking. I was driving so I cud only have three. Jk. Place was real clean and there was a lot of people and happenings going on in there. The restrooms were very clean and comfy. Definitely will likely return some day. It was an hours + drive there so it might be awhile for I get back but will for sure just for the food at least. I also bought a brewery Tshirt. It was fairly cheap at 25 dollars. Nice shirt. There was a lot of food there but I ate most of it and drank most of the drink before I remembered to take a pic, did I say it was very good? Cuz it was.

If you are taking your family to Great Wolf Lodge, Talking Cedar is close and priced better than any restaurant in side the Lodge. They have friendly servers, a great atmosphere, and good food.

Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich. It was good but on plain white dry toasted bread. French fries weren’t good at all. Dry and bland. But the aioli sauce was great! My wife had their fish and chips. Fish was nothing special, over breaded, with the same dry and bland fries. Edible for sure, but we’ve had lots better elsewhere. The service was great!
