This place is absolutely outrageously expensive. My husband and I came here after the bourbon and barrel event and I will say the host was amazing. He got us in even though we didn’t have reservations. The food itself was very good too. BUT it was so expensive. Now I understand that seafood is pricey but this was over the top. $87 for a poke bowl and some pasta with one glass of wine. Given the location I understand it’s going to be pricey but common. This is Owensboro. We aren’t in the Carolina’s. They had live music which sounded great but honestly for the prices and very limited menu (especially for someone with allergies) would not go back.

The evening was Great!! First time to eat at the Lure tonight for my fiancé’s surprise birthday dinner. Tamsen was the Best. She was very very helpful with any questions we had, very friendly and personable. Food was nothing other than amazing. We will definitely visit again.

Was in town Friday around 130pm and thought I would stop by and grab a lunch. Not in their own building was part of the Hampton Inn. Upon entering there was 3 or 4 tables that the server was taking care of.

Burger week, burger advertised compared to what I received. Lost my order, ended up making it for me minus the appetizer so I waited another 30 minutes. Overall terrible customer service. There was one young man there that did try to help me. He is definitely way too good for that place! Everyone else was completely clueless. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I will never return. Too many good places in Owensboro to waste time and money there.

Visited for the first time the other day. The service is about the best you can get! My boyfriend had made reservations for my birthday dinner and asked for a nice table in a quieter spot. They did an excellent job giving us a quiet table. He also asked for flowers if that was an option and someone went out and bought flowers for our table and just added it to the bill. The hostess also took our picture and she made sure the table was cleaned off before our picture. All of the extra touches made the night very special. The atmosphere is amazing, romantic, beautiful, great views but not too fancy. The food was delectable. My favorite was our appetizer, crab Rangoon dip. Both entrees were fantastic as well! We also got complimentary dessert since it was my birthday. The restaurant and bathrooms were all very clean. We will for sure be back! Prices were fair for seafood and very comparable to other nice restaurants in the area.

I’ve eaten here a few times with friends but most recently on my own, as a treat to myself. I had a wonderful waiter, who mentioned multiple times that he was new, but honestly didn’t have to because he handled my questions like a pro. I ordered a steak and mashed potatoes with asparagus, and it was amazing. Their crab cakes are so flavorful and an absolute favorite of my friends and mine. I enjoy bringing my daughter here for ‘princess dinner’ where she learns better manners for dining and also gets practice in a finer dining establishment than she’s used to. They’re always so patient and accommodating with kids. The only improvement i could possibly ask would be for a few more ‘land’ options, like chicken, for additional options, as we’ve had to turn down going there before for some that can’t eat red meat or fish, and the other options are slim.

Food was not good. The service was even worse than the food. We were staying in the hotel and when we asked if any seats were available we were told no, then said, “well we might have one seat left outside”. We were placed on the furthest table outside. While we waited for our food, none of the tables outside that were in the shade were taken. The oysters were fried and the batter was awful tasting, and the oysters were not fresh. We sat outside for around an hour and no tables had customers or reservation signs. We actually stayed in a room above the restaurant and noticed several times throughout the night no one was sitting at the tables. So, the staff was very rude, acted as if we had offended them by asking for a table, then sat us outside as if it was such an issue and were doing us such a favor….when there were several tables available the whole night. I do not recommend this restaurant based not only on the poor quality and high prices of the food, but also based on the poor quality of service and rude staff.
