Mamajuana Café was born in the year 2000 in Inwood NY with the intention of bringing architecture from the colonial city of the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and creating a menu combining together the spices of the old world infused with the modern Asian-Infused culinary. Since its inception, this Latin restaurant concept has expanded to 6 locations in New York and New Jersey.

Just a great experience . Our waiter Sean was super friendly very attentive and made some really great recommendations. Also explained in detail portion sizes of some of the meals and also the cultural significance and ingredients in some. Food was amazing portions were very large as well. The mofonguitos were great. They even gave us free mamajuana shots on the house . I will be back as we all had no complaints at all . Was a great dining experience

Our waiter named Saul is absolutely AMAZING!!! He made my birthday extraordinary!!! I asked him to recommend drinks and food, he asked me a few questions about my flavor preferences and everything he recommended I got . EVERYTHING WAS SO YUMMMYYYYY!!!! He was polite, very attentive, honest, very knowledgeable about the menu, and just a great vibe. The ambiance was great. We sat outside, then it got a bit chilly and they seated us inside without any fuss. They sang happy birthday to me and it really made my night . This is my 3rd birthday in a row that I celebrated here. Best birthday ever !! I highly recommend this place . No matter what you order , it will be delicious! XOXO to Saul!! You are amazing!

I must say, I was highly impressed with this establishment. I’ve been meaning to check out this restaurant for quite some time now. I went with my family for my sister’s birthday and we all enjoyed our meals. Mind you, my mom is very hard to please and she even gave the food a compliment, which is a big deal. The food was fresh and seasoned well and drinks were strong. The ambiance was nice as well. It’s definitely a vibe when the DJ comes. Lastly, our server Erika was awesome! I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Excellent food and service! Just as good as the original one in Inwood. Ordered calamari, octopus, camarones al ajillo and paella along with a guava margarita. All were amazing! Octopus was super tender and the paella was a great size for 2. Celebrated my birthday there which meant the entire staff singing along with props. Our waitress, Erika, was friendly and attentive. Will be back!

The food was absolutely incredible, we think about it all the time and want to go back asap! What an asset to the area and a beautiful place to go, it may be located on Jericho turnpike but we felt like we were on vacation! The service was excellent, bonus, someone came around took our picture and framed it, it was $20 & worth every penny, Great memories! We couldn’t get a table inside, no one was seated when we got there nor when we left but it ended up being a beautiful day to sit outside. I’m assuming there was a reason for that. We will 100000% be going back and if your haven’t been here highly recommend it, the food is fantastic!

My family and I went there for the first time for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Saul was really nice and accommodated all my 21 guests. The Food was amazing and everyone including the kids loved all the delicious dishes. The drinks were also awesome! We all had a great time and are looking forward on going back soon
