There are restaurants where you have a meal, then there are those rare ones where you have “an experience”. Ouvo fits into the latter category. From the soft wood aesthetics to the open kitchen to the bar style dining it’s got a wonderful vibe. Make sure to try the tuna carpaccio- it’s a great starter, both light and refreshing. I had the Arrabiata and my sweetie had the linguine and clam sauce. We finished with one of their Tiramisu cups which hit the spot. Now that the Pasadena location is open we will be regulars and they will soon greet us by our first name.

Great tasty authentic pasta that I enjoyed so much! Cacio e pepe is my favorite. The chef puts pasta into whole wheel pecorino cheese in front of you and serve it to you right away! You taste quality pecorino cheese with a kick of black pepper. And also ambience is nice. I went with my friends but it could be nice date spot as well!

Sat at the bar which gave us a great view of the kitchen! Tried the classic tasting menu, flavors blew us away. Portions were sane and just perfect. (No food coma wheee!) They don’t take reservations, we got there at 4.30pm on a Sunday and there was no wait.

My only dislike really is DO NOT sit at the bar if you are on the taller side. The stools are set too close to the bar and aren’t movable. I’m 6ft I had to sit sideways.

This is probably the worst pasta ever and the lasagna wasn’t anything like a normal one! I wonder if they ever going to survive at all given thy are a new business! On top of serving awfully tasting food, they automatically charge 16% gratuity service charge which us ridiculous! Do yourselves a favor and don’t waste your money and precious time on this place because you’ll be disappointed!

I am a big fan of their pasta. You cannot forget their “Tagliatelle in truffle sauce” once you try it. Cheese & Truffle, one of the Tasting Menus is a must-try course meal if you first visit there. What I like them is not only the tastes but also the freshness of the ingredients. I love their Yellowtail Crudo and the grass-fed wagyu beef tartare. The staffs are always nice and passionate.

Best pasta in Pasadena. Cacio e Pepe is perfect and Vongole pasta as well. Salty and flavorful. Worth the wait, as they don’t take reservations. Reasonably priced.
