With its beautiful atmosphere and classic southern food, this place is a time capsule of a bygone era. It’s a wonderful getaway whether you’re making a day trip or staying in the lodge. Everything we ordered was made to perfection from the fried green tomatoes to my boyfriend’s Old Fashioned, and our seat by the window overlooking the springs was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon. They have specials throughout the week like Fried Shrimp Friday and Burger Tuesday, and they also have special dining events for holidays. Wonderful place to celebrate a special event, go on a date, or just get away and relax. Our server was lovely and made sure everything was perfect.

I have been to Wakulla Springs many times only to swim. I had no idea, until my most recent visit, that there is a wonderful restaurant and gift shop there! We went to the lodge to buy our boat tickets, and oh my goodness, what a beautiful lodge! It felt like stepping into the 1800s, with the murals and wrought iron chandeliers on the ceiling, dark furniture and big chess boards. A young man played the grand piano. The gift shop had some fun stuff-shirts, candles, snacks, coffee mugs, etc., but it was a little pricey.

We love this place. All the food is good and some of the food is straight out amazing. The atmosphere is very nice, something missing in many restaurants simply because they are in buildings that make a good atmosphere impossible. This place is however has history, the richness in the decor and the building is just superb to make this a really different experience.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. I had not been here in many years and it will not be that long before I go back. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The afternoon was wonderful and I recommend this beautiful setting and great food highly. A tropical storm warning prevented us from taking the boat ride that we had scheduled. Gorgeous spot. Don’t miss it.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here on May 31st. We did make a reservation in advance and we’re seated immediately on arrival at the dining room. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good with generous portions! Since the beginning of May we have been on the hunt for the most delicious Key Lime Pie. The pie at the Lodge is at the top of our list!

We went for lunch in May when we stayed overnight as part of our south Florida road trip. The service was great, but they are understaffed which is why there is a wait with open tables and it takes 30 minutes for the food to arrive. I didn’t care as I enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and appetizers. The half chicken was lightly fried and tasty, and while I would have preferred more spice the average age of the other guests suggest why.

We had reservations today. We got there a few minutes early and got water quickly. We sat for approximately 15-20 minutes after the initial sit down and no one else came to our table. Looking around, several other tables seated with only water.

We visited the park yesterday and had lunch in the dining room. There were four of us – my wife, her brother & my sister-in-law. The meals were very tasty. My brother-in-law ordered the French Dip sandwich. It was huge and he said very good. His wife had fish tacos and got three with a lot of fish in them, etc. My wife had the chicken club sandwich which was a decent portion and tasty. I ordered a brisket sandwich which was much noticeably smaller than all the other sandwiches ordered. It was served on a hamburger bun with only a tiny portion of meat in it. No garnish or anything on the plate. Just a small sandwich. While it was good, we were all surprised at how much smaller it was than everyone else’s meal. As I said, it was tasty and we will probably visit the dining room again but I won’t be ordering another brisket sandwich! I feel the portion size should probably be given another look and increased to match the size of the other items on the sandwich menu.
