My Gawd this food was amazing. We ordered the hot honey chicken wings, shrimp and grits, fried pork chop, Mac and cheese, YAMS, peach cobbler cheesecake. EVERYTHING was a home run. Service felt like I was with family. Atmosphere was a vibe too! Absolutely give it a try.

I had a party of ten at this location last night and my server Bria was amazing!! She was super attentive, fun, and communicated throughout the whole dinner in regards to our food and drinks ETA . This is my second year hosting my birthday dinner with SOCU and the food and drinks are always delicious. I would recommend them and Bria to anyone!

The food is amazing (you have to order the banana pudding). If you’re passing through Mobile, it’s worth the stop. The restaurant has a great vibe, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I came in on art walk night, the first thing we noticed was the A/C was pathetic, so pretty uncomfortable to sit inside. Next when we sit down the bartender didn’t even greet us, he just gave us two cards that we had to scan to get the menu. He took our order without saying much outside of answering our questions. Then when we ordered oysters for an app, he neglected to tell us the restaurant did not have oysters so we had to wait almost an hour for them. Then when our food came out after we finally got the oysters, the entree was very dry shrimp and salmon. Almost as if they cooked it before the oysters were ready and had to leave the plate to sit under the heat lamp. Then when the bill came the price on the bill did not match the online menu we had to look at on our phones. The bartender did take about 10% off to say sorry for the price change, and poured us a shot to say sorry for the waiting for oysters. But all in all $100 for 2 people should get a little better experience. 2 stars only because the bartender was pretty understanding at the end for us.

Arrived with a party of 12 and seated at 6:50, they took took our orders, it was 2 hours before we even received our drinks… the table next to us was a party of 7 and they were seated and fed a whole hour before us. Our food arrived after waiting for 3 hours and everything was cold. Asked to speak to the manager and she never came, we went downstairs and she refuse to talk to us! Even after all of this we still received an almost $800 ticket!

I have gone twice both times celebrating something special and Ms. Monica was great. She is like that aunt that keeps it real. The food was great and so were the drinks. The ambiance and music matches my energy every time. The Socu signature oysters don’t miss. This place is most definitely worth the visit.

OMG the food was so good! I was very impressed with the atmosphere and the great service of the staff members! The vibe was so chilled. Our party was seated upstairs and it was a bit warmer and cozy. I ordered Gumbo for appetizer and it was delicious with satisfying balance of spices! The fish and sides of seafood dressings and dirty rice was on point. My husband ordered the lamb chops and OH MY the sauce is worth licking your fingers and the plate, lol. The candies yams were the best I’ve ever tasted!

Vibe, Food, and Music 20/10! Let me just say the next time, I’m in Birmingham…this is a MUST! The decor gave you a 90s kinda hangout but sophisticated. The wait time was decent for it to during brunch hours, maybe 20 mins for appetizers and 20-25 for the main acts. The waiter was very attentive and welcoming. We had the lobster deviled eggs for an appetizer, the honey Sriracha glaze was the star of this concoction. They are known for their oyster and did not disappoint us! Very tasty. The main entrees of catfish and Grits and chicken and waffles didn’t half step. Everything was delicious! The drink menu is lengthy but we decided on the mimosa and they were spot on as well.
