We stopped at the gas station to fill up heading to SoCal. We saw this place and thought on our way back through to try it out. We stopped and I have to say that this place will not disappoint. You walk in, music is playing. There is a large counter of a variety of cooked meets in hot trays ready to be served. Meat cooking on the grill behind thw counter. The menu is all spanish but not to worry the workers speak English and will help you choose your meal. Tacos, taquitos, torta’s, different sized burritos, all tasty and filling. I have a pic, I started to eat before things my pic, delicious!

This hole in the wall is the real deal. Easily some of the best tacos in California. The Carnitas were so juicy and fresh, made the real way. The people that work here were super nice as well. Bien hecho Chalio.

Pretty good, authentic Mexican food in a hole-in-the-wall location. The meat is some of the best meat we’ve had in a regional Mexican restaurant, though the food was quite a bit greasy. The service was quick, though the prices on the menus were covered up and all menus were only in Spanish, though this was mostly because the restaurant mostly caters to the local Latinx community than it does English-speaking tourists. However, Chalio’s is a great, delicious 24hr stop on the road in an otherwise barren stretch of the I5.

Had to charge car by the gas station and went for a walk and found a sign leading to this place. Stopped in for a quick bite and went with 2 tacos, asada and barbacoa, with beans and rice on the side. The barbacoa was tender and shredded perfect with a rich flavor.

Extremely good tacos! These are the best tacos I’ve ever had which includes Mexico. The tacos are all meat and all delicious! The restaurant is located in an Arco station. It’s a hole in the wall, but it is a great value.
