Good curb appeal. Dated but clean. The customer service was great. They move a little slow, but we came in around 4pm, and being on the feet all day is exhausting so I get it… it took 45mins to get all of our order ready. The roti skin was perfect, but the curry goat & chicken was bland even with de peppa. The currants roll was good! I would go back for the currants roll and roti skin!

The staff are always beautiful but you may have to wait and you’re not sure why. Maybe an island thing? Lol

The baked goods here are sooo yummy. Currants rolls, coconut rolls, cassava pine freshly baked bread – just delightful and remind you of homemade offerings.

Crown Bakery not only bakes delicious Trinidadian pastries but serves hot lunch or dinner from its hot table. The Caribbean Cuisine at this family owned restaurant is delicious. I I attended a meeting there. We had Buffet style Trinidad and Tobago dishes of Mango Salad, Rice and Peas, Coconut Rice, Curried Chicken, Stewed Jerk Chicken, and Kingfish, Vanilla Cake, Cassava Pone, Rum Punch and Mango Splash. The food is fantastic.

A solid Trinidadian eating experience! We ordered 2 doubles, 5 currant rolls, 1 veggie roti, two buss up shut with veggie sides and goat roti = $75. Food was delicious and side sauces were awesome. The only thing we would have done without was the Callaloo which was on the bland side.

I paid $54 dollars for 2 large oxtails dinner, & it wasn’t oxtail, it was some sort of beef, the cabbage was awful & the macaroni was about the best on the plate. When you try to support black business they screw you over. Never will I return. 1star for the macaroni

I could tell the lady assumed I was new there, which I kinda was cuz I hadn’t been in town in years… But she loaded my plate with yumminess. The fish patty was good and the tamarind sauce has a unique kick (I believe they added ginger or sumn). Thanks for your great customer service. I’ll be back.

I’ve always known of Crown but I defaulted to another Trini restaurant as it is closer to me. Well I went to this restaurant one day and was fed up. Why am I paying these high prices for slow unfriendly service in an establishment that doesn’t even look clean and hasn’t been updated in 20years or more?? I walked out and drove the added distance to Crown. I went to the fool buying currants rolls, drops, alloo pie, pone, and more. I was excited that the food was on display and it looked good. The roti tasted pretty good, although I think it needed a little extra kick. I ordered pepper, but hardly tasted it. The skin was boss though. All the other hot food ordered was great. The service was friendly and appreciative. They will continue to get my business. RIP to “the other” place.
