I’m new here from AZ, I needed to pick up a few groceries and I kept smelling smoked BBQ. I decided to give H‑E‑B BBQ a shot. I ordered the 3 meat plate Turkey, fatty brisket, and sausage with a side of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. I didn’t expect much from grocery store BBQ but man was I surprised! Great BBQ. I’m sure there is better in the area, but for a quick grab and go everything on my plate was phenomenal! I highly recommend giving it shot.

Went here for the first time and had the pulled pork sandwich, collard greens, and strawberry lemonade. All were tasty. I usually hate pulled pork sandwiches, too.

Brisket is so darn good!! The combo comes with two sides. I got cole slaw and potato salad. Super delicious lunch or dinner. My husband got the two meat combo with mac n cheese and beans.

The sides were pretty good, but the brisket was very dry and salty. I had the one meat plate with two sides (collard greens and macaroni). Nothing special about this place other than it is a convenient place to get very average BBQ when you are shopping at HEB. I recommend that instead of you eating at this Instagram tourist attraction, that you buy other HEB food products, or better yet, go get some real Texas barbecue. I’d give another star if they said it was North Carolina barbecue because then at least they’d be telling the truth.

Love their BBQ chicken, brisket and turkey. And for those of you that don’t know about smoking your meats. The red lining on the top of the boned chicken is part of the smoke process ,it’s not raw. Raw would be in the center of the chicken. Now they don’t serve it anymore because of naive customers that don’t know better. Just wanted to clarify why they no longer sell the boned BBQ chicken.

You can’t beat the loaded brisket nachos for the price. I recommend adding the brisket beans. Fully loaded up it has Pico, sour cream, guacamole, queso, shredded brisket and is about 1000-1200 calories. I’ve been skipping Chipotle and coming here instead! Both photos are from different visits.

This was the first time eating here and it was purchased to go. Very disappointed. Granted some of it is my fault. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich. It was very small, both size (small kid size buns) and not much brisket. Second there was no bbq sauce on it or in the bag. I should have asked for some but did not think about it and it was not offered. Lastly the bun appears toasted but was cold. The brisket was pretty good actually. All it would need to move up to 5 stars would be freshly toasted bread (the adult size for an $8.00 sandwich), more brisket, and either include bbq sauce in the bag or suggest it to customers picking up to go.
