I agree with other reviewers that the owner and atmosphere are very welcoming. My pressed Colombian coffee was delicious, and although not noted (I asked), the batch I sampled was from a fair trade source. This is a neighborhood cafe, and parking is available on the street or behind the building next to the fence. An attractive porch also provides seating and connects visitors to other shops, a salon, and an event center, adding even more value to your visit.

Jibreel is the man! The shop is so welcoming and a good spot to just hang out. I actually met Jibreel (the owner) on Twitter and he invited me to the shop when I was in town. Great stuff from a good guy. I’d definitely check it out if you’re in town.

Salaam’s has coffee, tea, hot chocolate, muffins, bottles of soda, and other great products. It’s run by a very nice and friendly man named Jibreel who makes conversation with anyone who walks in. Definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a chill place to get some coffee and have a good conversation
