This place is unlike any other in Jacksonville! A true hidden gem! The staff is so nice and the food is so good that I do a 40 min drive every week to come here. It is a religious experience and I have my whole family addicted lol! It is so consistent as well, I have never had an off day! I have tried everything and you can’t go wrong with anything but the ribeye quesadillas, chicken tinga, deserts & sangrias are some stand outs. The patio is beautiful and parking is usually available. Cannot recommend this place enough, probably the best restaurant in jax period, also quite affordable compared to other options.

Mi Casa en Orlando – Florida
First time in that area of Jacksonville and we were really looking forward to some amazing Mexican food with our friends (a couple and their two kids). I had picked the restaurant because it seemed to have the best ratings for a taco place in close proximity to our hotel. The food was so and so with acceptable tacos, watery micheladas, but what follows made us all have indigestion. Food is not only about food, it’s also about the overall experience. We were seated at the 6 people table in the back of the patio and as we started eating, we saw a couple of rats in and out of the bushes next to the table. The place seemed to be packed and we were all hungry and had something planned and had already started eating to just stand and leave. I felt terribly bad because I had insisted on choosing this place. I am very respectful of the industry because we are all foodies, but this really ruined our experience with the waiter acknowledging they are aware about the rats and that there’s nothing they can do about it since the rats come from the property next door. This is the very first bad review I’m leaving and trust me, I find no pleasure in doing so. I’m just trying to help both the restaurant and future customers.

Great service, the portions for tacos were huge. The pork with banana leaf was amazing. The ribeye #2 and chorizo was close 3rd. The corn was delicious along with chips. The Mexican beer selection was quite extensive.

I’ve never heard of this restaurant but I know I wanted tacos. I’m from El Paso Texas so I like real authentic tacos. Now Taqueria Cinco is honestly a 10 to me. The guacamole chip tasted like I went to a place in Mexico it gave me such native vibes I love it. Don’t forget your Tecate and I’m sure you’ll enjoy anything you eat there. Try there dulce arroz as well it was decent !!! I definitely will be going there again. I highly recommend it.
