Not sure what the negative reviews are about. We’ve been here multiple times and our experience has been excellent every time! The menu is a nice blend of traditional and unique options (love the lamb and cactus dishes!). The waitress is always friendly and very accommodating with our dairy-free diet. The restaurant itself has a dive-type vibe to it, but in our experience dives usually have some of the best food! If you want great Mexican food with friendly service and don’t mind a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, then definitely check this place out!

1st and last time eating here. Huge disappointment. I should have read reviews first. The entire restaurant was not clean including the tables. It was dinner rush hour and completely empty. Food was bland. Rice and beans cold, sour cream runny and warm. Margaritas were watery. We ordered the Texas Fajitas. They were OK. However, shrimp was way overcooked. The best thing I can say is our server was very sweet. We will stick to out amazing Mexican restaurant in Locust.

Update – 9/20- I give up, I DO NOT recommend this place. I called, explained to the employee who took my order my past horrible experience and when I picked up my order, I was hoping for something better. I paid extra for a guacamole that was all brown, it has the seed so it should not be brown, I love guacamole, know how to make it and I know how long it takes to get brown. The flautas had lettuce on top but something dark/brown was sticking out so I thought it was a jalapeno; it was a very bad, brown, rotten piece of avocado, and you will see more in the photos. I now believe they did it on purpose. After paying $33 dollars, I will have to go to McDonald and get dinner because the amount of rice and beans was just hilarious and more like a kids meal. The chips are ooooolder than my grandma and you can smell the grease. And I threw the guacamole away. I respectfully do not understand how they are still open. Horrible place! I would drive to Independence Blvd where I have found lots of great places to eat.

I ordered my food to go and ate it in the parking lot. I then went to the McDonald’s and bought a burger to make sure I still had my sense of taste and smell. It turns out I did.

I don’t know how this place stays in business. I suppose it’s the alcohol sales? Fairly poor service, waited far too long for food, literally only three others eating there. Mediocre food at best. There has to be one better Mexican food restaurant within 5-6 miles?

Never again. What a terrible disappointment this place was. My family and I tried it out some months back when we happened to be in the area. I would hope that by now they have improved things, but judging by the majority of reviews, it doesn’t seem like it.
