I went on Saturday around 12noon and wanted the Chile verde special but it was not available… (it’s a Saturday special and was not available) no biggie. I ordered a steak meal instead and it was good. I also wanted a margarita but the server who makes drinks…. Was not in… (reason I decided to dine in was to wine down and have a nice margarita). Overall atmosphere was very nice but would have loved it even more had I had a nice margarita and there special. Will visit again

I came for a chili relleno dinner plate and found home away from home. Enacio has been there 56 years. His brother inlayed all the table tops with tiles. He boasts all the food is made from scratch. What’s not to love? You will be coddled with more than you asked for.

I went in and it seemed nice but the man whom helped me was a bit unnerving. He didn’t give me change back for fifteen dollars when I bought a burrito for 11.80. Then after I went outside to eat in the parking area because my company was at another store behind this restaurant I found the same man whom served me taking a picture of my car and then came to tell me I was on private property. So rude. He was completely sure of whatever impression I made and it’s disappointing because the other people working there were very friendly and welcoming while he ruined my experience

We were in the area for an event at Cal State University & looked for something close on Yelp that was rated good. We got there at almost closing time (630 pm, they have very limited hours). we had the diablo shrimp meal & chili rellano/flauta meal. Everything was delicious, including the chips & salsa, & the flan for desert. Definitely a family owned business atmosphere, nothing fancy ..even grandma sleeping in the back table after her long day of being there overall… we enjoyed the food and would go back if we were in the area.

My mom has been going here since the 70s, and me the 90s. They deserve all the praise for their hearts are just as good as their food. God bless Los Compadres!

They need to have a clearer description of their food in the menu. What I ordered was not exactly what I received. The server seemed a bit annoyed when we were ordering too. He later came over with only one straw and slightly tossed it on the table. I was also shocked that the place looks a bit run down, especially for all the years they have been in business. Makes sense that so many people take their food to go. Food is decent. Don’t go here for a first date. Go next door instead:)

When it comes to Mexican food I don’t consider any other restaurants that can compare to Los Compadres, I grew up on Main Street in the 60’s-70’s when the super burritos were $2, I live in the Central Valley now and still find my way back to enjoy another meal there.

This is the BEST burrito I have ever had in my life! Will come back here time and time again! The shredded beef + carnitas meat is amazing! The crispiest chips ever topped with salt – best experience I’ve ever had! This place was a recommendation from my dad who had been coming here since he was a kid! Flew out from FL and now I’m going home dreaming of Los Compadres and not being able to have it!
