We had an amazing time at the Trappers Lake Lodge. Our room was very clean and the bathhouse was also clean and very functional. The setting is absolutely unique, even given my 62 years living in Colorado and traveling around the world.

Gorgeous spot. The scenery is stunning, there’s amazing access to hiking and fishing. Our cabin was clean, and although it wasn’t exactly a place you’d want to spend much time in, the outdoor picnic table, porch chairs, and fire pit were really nice amenities. We had happy hour drink/snack service and breakfast, and I’d say the food is fine: It’s nice to have a hot meal in this remote location, but I wouldn’t say the property is passionate about preparing food. The owners aren’t particularly welcoming; Asking questions (such as the prices for drinks, which don’t have costs listed on the menu) got an irritated response. But if you’re just looking for a clean bed in a stunning outdoor setting, this is a solid spot.

Scenery was beautiful, cabins were comfortable, food was awful. The weekday dinner menu is limited to start but they were out of everything except burgers – not acceptable. Quality of food was pretty bad as well. We were told power would be turned off between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m.; it was turned off at 8:20 p.m. Such a wonderful location and opportunity is wasted by people who don’t know how to do it right.

Great time at Trapper’s!! Forgot firewood but Taylor brought some by the cabin. Had a wonderful fire and great conversation. The shrimp boil was tasty and breakfast the next morning did not disappoint. Thank you Becca for making a heavenly Strawberry cake for our Birthday celebration!! Great memories were made. ❤️

Wonderful rustic cabin experience. The cleanliness was very apparent. Great double beds. The quietness and the night sky are outstanding. My father was the caretaker of Trappers Lake and we lived in the cabin on the creek during the summers of 1941 and 1942. Our family lived in Meeker and the upper White River until 1951. My family also spent time at the Aldrich Cabin on Ute Creek and Marvine Lakes. The food at the Trappers Lake lodge was outstanding. Bill Hanks
