Food here was always decent, and you get a lot. So if you are paying it is definitely worthwhile. If you have a meal card I wouldn’t think twice about rating it 5 stars as free lunch is always better. My last year in Bragg this Dfac was rarely open, hopefully that has changed.

Food is pretty good. Lunch is fantastic and worth the $6.15. There’s something for every one. However, Vegetarian options are not that great.

Middle of the road chow hall. I only ate here a handful of times. The potatoes one morning looked great, but were severely undercooked. Not sure how you mess that up. No other issues with the other food other than its pretty bland. That’s one way to keep joes off weight control I guess.

Walked to SWCS because it said open. Was closed. Walked to providers said open. Was Closed. Walked to 3rd bct about 3 miles and finally got to eat some food while at 18th reception. Asked them for a to go tray so I wouldn’t have to walk back for dinner. They gladly filled one up for me. Food was good too. Shoutout 3rd bct dfac!

Military food, sometimes it good, sometimes not. Grilled hamburger are good but the fries where near cold. The grill operators don’t have a system that keeps a rotation of burgers cooking. So you end waiting much longer than it should be .

The Thanksgiving Day meal was incredible! The food was delicious and the DFAC was very clean, very nicely prepared and tastefully decorated. They had a live quartet that played wistfully wonderful season-appropriate music pieces. My wife and I had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning on a regular basis. I just want to say “thank you” to the Command, Staff and all support personnel.

Raw potatoes. Fairly undercooked food. Could only eat half my already small ration.

You will get a more full and better tasting meal out of a dumpster behind a Hardee’s restaurant than you will at this DFAC. The serving sizes would be fine for men of the 1940’s and the amount of actual protein you will have in a meal is well under 10g you can get more protein out of a snickers bar then you can out of the selection you have at the line. Their idea of a meal on the weekends is hard rice, spoiled spinach, and cold Ravioli. Not to mention they start putting everything away 40 minutes before they close. Also, the cooks get upset if you tell them there is no bread out for anyone or if they are out of something. I mean I will get more nutrients out of a Peanut Butter sandwich than a full meal they serve. Absolutely pathetic

U.S. Army DFAC, not necessarily the worst, not the best either. Give it a try. Main problems are logistics— I.e. poor placement of lines, snake, etc; mainly bc they lack the space and intelligence

A multi star dining experience. Truly a wonder for the senses. Service was fantastic and immediate. The wait times naturally vary on the time of day so be sure to arrive before the crowds if you want to take advantage of the quick and easy pay by card system.
