I can’t wait to come back for another meal at Salva Mex! We had a really great experience. They serve dishes from Mexico and El Salvador for dine-in and takeout. There are familiar dishes like tacos and burritos but we went for their signature, pupusas, we ordered two of each kind! They were served with a cortido, a pickled slaw with a zesty flavor that perfectly compliments a pupusa. I LOVE the cortido here, wow! We ordered a plate of rice and beans to go along with them and of course and a plate of fried plantains which added the perfect sweetness to the meal. I like the beans in the style of El Salvador, they’re almost like a flavorful puree. We washed it all down with a cold horchata and walked out with leftovers that kept well. We decided to dine in because the service and vibes were good and there was this row of big cozy booths in front of the floor to ceiling windows off Ambaum.

Really Awesome food, worth the wait, but has bad customer service which is why I didn’t rate a 5 stars.

If you in Burien looking for a authentic meal from Central America then don’t hesitate to try salvamex. The agua frescas and meals are delightful. Friendly staff and picture menus for those of us who are not comfortable with Spanish.

very friendly folks. This used to be Los Tacos Nacos, I really like the expanded menu. They have a lot of nice handmade corn options that I truly appreciate

Delicious food. Love the papusas. I drive an hour each way to get here to eat these papusas…. it’s worth it.

Solid, affordable pupuseria with lots of space for kids. There are a dozen more within a few blocks, though, so it’s worth poking around?
