Visiting from out of state and service was welcoming and helpful. We got the the mini feast of 1lb of peel shrimp and it was amazing and fed 3 of us. Homemade ranch was my child’s favorite and the chicken tenders! Will come back again when we come back.

As a owner of two restaurants. I will say the food was great. The grilled chicken sandwich with pickled onions was amazing. The service was good very knowledgeable of menu items. Super cool rooftop bar with an excellent old school DJ. Outdoor rooftop cornhole and other outside games. Excellent view of Virginia Beach Boardwalk and the strip on either rooftop side. Beautiful sunset!

We’re here from TN, so we we really looking forward to having some good seafood! We got 2 of the Mundo Mini Feasts and we’re extremely disappointed!! There were a couple good items on the plate like the chicken strips, hush puppies and the crab were the only decent things on the plates. The lobster was more than over cooked (I think I was chewing rubber) the fried white fish was so over cooked that it was like chewing cardboard and the shrimp had a rubbery texture as well. I told our waiter Sean(Shawn) not sure how he spells it and he just shrugged us off, might I add we never asked for refills or anything except a little butter and ketchup!! I would have preferred to speak with a manager for the purpose of other customers and their experience. Lastly when we paid we opted for the cash discount and they tried to tip themselves by shorting us on our change!! I will NEVER be back to support this establishment!!!

On the boardwalk I came across this place where the prices actually seemed a bit better than some other local restaurants. Took a bit of time for service however once ordered my food arrived quickly. Ribs, shrimp, hush puppies fries and salad 22$. I was full and took the rest to go.

The food was terrible. Very small portions for the price. Most dishes came with green beans and buttered red potatoes…….”No substitutions!” I was told. The green beans were French style from a can and there were two small red potatoes with no butter or seasoning on top. The waitress got my order wrong and it took longer to get the new order then the original order. My shrimp was overcooked had the exact same seasoning as the salmon that my boyfriend ordered. And it was salty. I asked for remoulade sauce, the server didn’t know what that was. It’s a seafood restaurant! She was nice, that’s about the only positive thing I can say about the place.The dining room was almost empty inside, which should have been a clue to leave. There were some people who were sitting outside. Don’t waste your money, walk down the beach a bit, better restaurants there.

We decided to try places in Virginia Beach on Atlantic Avenue. We landed in the Ocean House and was very disappointed! It is n under statement to tell you our food took 1- hour to arrive. The food took so long I played about 3 games of Call-of-Duty on my phone.

I’m super surprised at these reviews. We came about two years ago, and discovered this gem. We’ve been going back once or twice a year since. Each experience has been welcoming, atmosphere calm and pleasant, clean, and the food is incredible. We had mixed drinks too, and they were the perfect balance, not overpowering. We request outside because the view really sets off the whole mood. The manager is cool as hell too. Always comes to greet us and make us feel like we are longtime friends. Our servers are always in a great mood too. We will continue making our yearly trips and totally encourage all of our buddies to do the same.

I am surprised at some of these reviews because I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this establishment. It was clean and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone from the host to the servers treated us like family. Our server was very attentive and our drinks were always full. I don’t recall her name but she had the prettiest curly hair. Our kids were a little on the grumpy side and she was so patient with them. I would recommend this restaurant and we will return if we are ever in the area.
