I used to drive across town for r this burrito but come to find out they have one right down the street. The food is always fresh & the hot sauce is better than anywhere else in town.. never disappoints..

I had two types of tacos here—al pastor and lengua. Both were absolutely fantastic, and just like the tacos I get when visiting my family in Mexico. The tacos al pastor were a great combination of roasted pork and sauce. The lengua tacos were PERFECT! I could go on and on—the taste, texture, and everything. The tortillas were homemade, and the green sauce had a nice kick.

I got my dinner at La Moja Blanca 2 today before work. I ordered steak tacos, queso, chips, a horchata and a Pina. It tasted like the ice was frost bitten or just bad. The drinks both had a bad flavor. I couldn’t drink them. I went back after work and was treated like a criminal. There was a young lady and older lady. The younger lady started to get a cup of one or the other of the drinks so that she could taste it. Then the older lady did the same thing. The older lady came to the window wiggling her finger at me and telling me that it tasted just fine. The younger one said they used the same ice they gave me and it was fine. The truth is that they use a commercial ice maker and not all the ice in that machine will taste the same. The older lady told me that I can just not come back there. That’s wonderful, my thoughts exactly. I won’t go back there but I had to get this out so that others know not to buy drinks from there. It might not seem like lots of money to waste on bad product but for many 10.00 is 30 minutes of wages earned. I will now say, that the tacos were very delicious and had I not been treated like a criminal I would have gone back many times for the food but now I will never go back. If you want delicious Tacos it’s your place to go. Just don’t buy the drinks unless you want to play roulette with the taste.

I’ve tried a lot of Mexican places in Siouxland and this one wins the gold medal. Everything that comes out of their kitchen tastes homemade. I usually go for a steak burrito but if you’re feeling adventurous the menu is extensive; tonight I tried the cow tongue! You’ve got to ask for their green salsa, it’s quite spicy yet smooth almost like it has an avocado base. Yes they are cash only but I believe that is how they keep their prices so reasonable. Best in town all around.

So, I’m not trying to scare anyone because to be fair I’ve eaten here on and off for years and it’s been FINE. But on my most recent visit I got a beef burrito, and it was big so I ate half and saved half for the next day. Well the first half was fine but the next day when I ate the second half I immediately had stomach pain and ended up throwing up shortly after. Now after relieving myself I felt fine but I think the reason was the meat was pretty greasy. For health reasons I’ve been only eating home cooked lean meats recently so perhaps my stomach just wasn’t used to something a little greasier. I don’t think it was food poisoning or anything, and I don’t want to make this restaurant look bad because AGAIN I’ve eaten here many times over the years.. but just a warning to anyone who maybe can’t handle greasy food?

I loved this place until I went there one night when I had a younger family member with me, we were both in a hurry. I waited for my order (in the drive through window, then the parking lot, then inside the restaurant) for 35 minutes. They have a young male 14-15 year old working the front all the time by himself. 2 cooks in the back. They said they were “short staffed” to go along with what is going on along with the trying times. No. They do this before all that because I was going here before, they do it to maximize the cash. Also it’s cash only. I’m getting tired of every certain kind of restaurant doing this to avoid paying taxes, employees…

Just bought 5 alambre tacos and got more burnt meat than any edible pieces.. it’s sad because usually send people that way when they ask me where you can find good tacos. I love smoked meats and enjoy a good bark but this was the worst case of bottom of the barrel scraping I’ve ever seen. 80%burnt! Needless to say I won’t be ordering that again
