This is a fantastic Lexington local Japanese restaurant. It is not hibachi, but they have all of your typical Japanese fair as well as incredible sushi. You can’t go wrong with the Ganbei rice, or any of their sushi rolls. On the weekends at dinner time it’s typical they would have a wait, but during lunch or outside of dinner rush, you’re normally seated very promptly by a friendly hostess, and the services are always well-informed and attentive. Good place to bring a date as it does have somewhat of a romantic field. If you like sushi, definitely give Ganbei a try.

Tasty Yet Healthy
Great dinner spot for girls night out. Wednesdays are 1/2 off sushi starters and 1/2 off open red wine!! Having the 1/2 off is a great way to try sushi that you haven’t had before and not sure if you would like it.

The food here was absolutely fantastic exceeded all my expectations for this food genre. The chefs choice, sashimi and nigiri, was astonishing. Everything was fresh and presented in a beautiful manner. Came with the family, and there was an amazing atmosphere, and the room was plenty. Our server was absolutely understanding and incredibly friendly, Amelia was the best, thank you for the amazing experience.

It was our 1st dining experience and we weren’t disappointed. For a Saturday the wait wasn’t long (maybe 10 minutes). We were greeted promptly and everyone was friendly. The food was fresh and hot and we’ll definitely be back!

My Bride and I just had a great sushi lunch. We split everything and I’m so full. Lite supper tonight. Everything was surprisingly good and we really enjoyed our eel and California rolls along with tempura veggies. Wednesday is a good day for lunch as they have a lot of small rolls priced reasonably.

Tried this restaurant because my favorite Japanese place was closed. I must say i was highly impressed. The food was delicious! Only thing that i didn’t care for was the soup that comes with the entree the taste was good however it was cold, and the steak comes as a full steak so i had to chop it up myself. But the food was amazing. And i ordered sushi. It was so crunchy and good. I really enjoyed the chicken which was dark meat. I will definitely go back again.
