I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Elephant Room in Detroit, Michigan, and it pains me to say that it was one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment fell far short of my expectations.

Fun place. We had a drink & shared a chicken sandwich w/fries. The chicken was delicious/tender. Cute decor. It is karaoke night and the singers are fantastic!

The food was good but cold. Not even warm, just cold. It was good the next day after I warmed it up. The service was horrible. We tried to grab eye contact to hold up the church finger (pointer finger) for service with no success. The server got a whole attitude because I said excuse me Sir as he walked by to get his attention. I didn’t know “excuse me Sir” could invoke such rage. We reported the issue and someone else waited on our table after that person was great. The atmosphere was beautiful.

We wound up getting the best street parking there at the beginning and the end of Movement festival. We made so many magical connections with new friemily. I had the chicken Monte Cristo for brunch and then danced at the patio, thank you staff for the love you gave us!!!

Amazing food! The entire menu can be made gluten free, which was a huge treat. I ordered the fried fish po-boy, it was phenomenal!

This was my first time in the elephant room and you have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The spinach dip is to die for! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. Brandon and Harry made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience! Brandon made me a Hibiscus Margarita, so good! The manager Chris made sure our experience was great! Can’t wait to be back!

Standard small bar that’s clean and has reasonable prices. They have a standard selection of beer and liquor, and I didn’t order any food. The service was very attentive, the music selection was good, and the volume was kept low enough that we could converse freely. There were plenty of seats available when we arrived and my only complaint is that I would have liked some more local options to drink.

Excellent gluten free brunch food on Sunday. We had the chicken and waffles and Monte Cristo sandwich. Everything on our plates felt like it had an extra touch of care and was delicious. We enjoyed chatting with chef Ty too! Can’t wait to come back when we’re in Detroit again.

The food was gluten free and my wife has celiac disease. That is the only positive thing I have to say, everything else was horrible.
