To start, I stood at the counter for no less than 5 minutes before any one acknowledged me – fine. I ordered a full rack with collard greens and baked beans. The ribs tasted great, although certain parts appeared to be undercooked. Collards and beans were on point. The beans however, due to their intense heat warped the Styrofoam container… that melted plastic has to be getting into that food! The low stars is because the food ultimately gave me a the runs as if I was training for a marathon. This, coupled with the service and parking fiasco does not bode well for this establishment. You’d be better off elsewhere.

It’s best to know right away that you can enjoy your meals much better if you just take them home with you. There are tables and chairs here but they’re not conducive for staying. It’s humid, at least at the time we were there. We had the combo chicken and ribs. Excellent yellow-color sauce. The corn bread is almost like cake, probably the best corn bread I had ever. Had I known it was that good, I could have ordered plenty. Friendly service! There will be a next time for sure.

After a long day of work, this was exactly what i needed. A great portion of food, my beans were tasty. The mac and cheese was delicious! I wish I had more and the 1/4 chicken was really good. The bbq sauce is good and sweet too. This was my first time and definitely will come back whenever I’m in t he area!

I visited the lauderhill location after hearing so many great reviews and I must say I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken and rib combo, some being lukewarm and some being cold. They gave me more chicken, two regular sized ribs. One rib had a lot of fat on it and the rest was only a few chunks of rib. There wasn’t much sauce on it. The mac&cheese and pigeon peas&rice was alright. I wanted a slice of red velvet cake but they had no cake at all. I don’t think that the combo was worth $16.99 at all. I’m sorry I won’t be returning again because I feel as if it was a waste of money.

Not only was the food amazing but they have the most honest people working there. We had bbq ribs and it was mouth watery good! My mom left her purse hanging on her seat and didn’t realize it until she got home…..to Kendall! She jumped back in the car and drove all the way back and and they had it waiting for her to return. The purse had no ID in it and $486 in CASH and not a single penny was missing. You don’t see this type of story. Spread the word about this amazing place!!

Overpriced and the quality of the food at this new location has dropped. Had the rib dinner and it was the absolute LAST time I’ll be a customer at Father & Son’s BBQ. Not to mention the “customer service” there is AWFUL, good luck staying in business
