Ruggieri’s in Colleyville is not just a restaurant, it’s an authentic Italian Family experience. As a Texas transplant in the late 80’s from m the Northeast (Stratford, CT) its a challenge finding REAL Italian food. They make FOOD an art in terms of quality and service. The menu and selections are always varied and the staff and owners are sooooo hospitable offering suggestions for appetizers + wine pairing. SPECTACULAR = (from a devout foodie).

Celebrating a birthday could not have been more perfect. The specials were incredible, and because of the outstanding service, we never needed to look at the menu. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and the crab cake appetizer was actually 98% lump crab instead of 98% breading. Everything was delicious including a very diverse desert menu. Jani served us as if we were in a Michelin New York City restaurant. The most professional service I’ve ever enjoyed. Highly recommend Ruggeri’s if you’re looking for quality food with service excellence. (Make you sure you ask to be seated at one of Jani’s tables). Here is Jani with my family.

My wife and I were having a date night. We loved the old location before the building was destroyed by fire. Our first time at current location. The ambience was wonderful. From the bread & olive oil to the lobster Thermidor and chicken parmigiana, it was perfect. Our waiter was incredible attentive and knowledgeable. We finished with key lime pie & tiramisu. Start to finish the evening was perfect. Thank you for a superb evening.

Small Restaurant with exceptional service and food. Live music on piano and they take requests. Higher end on prices and well worth it. Very personal with the owner always visiting with guests. Very classy. Parking can be found down the street – always seem to get the last open parking spot.

First, the good. The food was delicious! We had invited one couple and two singles to dinner. Our waiter was an older gentleman who had a funny sense of humor, almost the rude but funny kind so that was fine. What wasn’t fine was when he refused to split the bill according to who ordered what, claiming it was “too complicated” and instead wanted to split the bill evenly 4 ways. Are you kidding me? He was clearly upset with us that we wanted to pay for our orders as ordered. A horrible finish to the night, and for those reasons, we will not be back.

So happy to see this restaurant back in operation! This was one of our favorite local places before the fire that burned it down while the building was being roofed! And then, of course, the pandemic! They have an excellent menu that includes both the traditional pasta, lasagne, etc., but also some dishes that are more what you’d find in Italy as main courses — fish, lamb, sweetbreads, veal, etc. The service is great and the atmosphere is calm and classy. Recommend it highly.
